  1. I agree. I don’t see any problem with boosting a 4.0 as long as you get the tuning right and I also agree that the split second is not the best way to go. Afr’s go a long way to keeping your engine temps in check as long as your cooling system is working as it should.
  2. The turbo manifold is under $400 from boostwerks, turbo itself is cheap (that version has an internal wastegate that personally I wouldn’t run). Your basically paying almost a grand for a downpipe (which is how much his down pipe is on eBay). My exhaust wouldn’t even be compatible since I use a TJ downpipe that wraps around the front of the oil pan.
  3. The new supply is practically extinguished (at least the ones that are available for sale). Many members have several set they may sell if you post a wanted ad. Otherwise, reproduction units are under development but I don’t know the eta.
  4. yep, the options above that are fog light only/ sport bar only etc. will be blank on the other side and could be cutout if needed later
  5. typical Maaco
  6. You’ll need to grab a couple of these from the junk yard. Most every 96 and earlier xj I've seen has these on them.
  7. interesting setup. That wouldn’t be impossible to make but I probably won’t be making that version just yet. What year is that on? For reference, here is what the piece underneath should look like:
  8. Mine should be safe to 12-15 psi or possibly higher. I’m running the aluminum head with all arp fasteners and a cometic hg
  9. You mean just a blank one? That would be doable
  10. Thanks! Everyone’s input is super helpful
  11. Here is the base material prototype for reference. The texture looks and feels as close to the original as any I could find. Literally went through hundreds of test pieces lol. The only difference I think there may be is the ultimate “sheen” or diffusion that these provide. I would recommend that they be installed in sets consisting of the headlight switch bezel, along with left and right dash switch bezels.
  12. That would be custom since they didn’t come like that but is doable. If you can, select “custom” if that is what your looking for.
  13. That would be a custom option but should be fairy straight forward. Pricing will depend on how many I can produce at once and that is why I started the poll. If you want to select “custom” I’ll keep track of that. One off versions will cost a bit more but are doable. I also plan on making the headlight switch cover since it is the same design as the other two switch panels. That way, if someone wants to update all their interior, you won’t have one switch cover that looks old or out of place.
  14. Just started a poll to gauge interest and see what versions everybody wants:
  15. Hello all, Just putting the finishing touches on the dash switch trim covers and am looking to see what versions everyone would be most interested in via poll. Just want to get an idea of how many of each to work on first. These are hand made, multi layered switch trim covers for the obsolete and hard to find factory options. Please see images below for examples of the switch layouts. These will be VERY similar to factory though I won’t say identical. Every effort has been made to reproduce the logos and text according to factory. Original models were vector traced and scanned to be as true to the original as possible. The logos will shine through just like factory and light dispersion and color will be very close to the original. Each cover is hand made in multiple layers (just my wife and I working in these) and take some time to produce.
  16. Success! Was able to finally track down a film with the correct texture and transparency. Will be creating the cover and testing shortly.
  17. How much what?
  18. Welcome to the club! 10 posts will open up the wanted section I believe.
  19. Should be good to go
  20. mine are beyond repair unfortunately. The actual housing has been destroyed
  21. Do you have reverse lights working? I’d love to do an auto to manual swap on mine lol
  22. The drive side pattern looks like the pinion is a bit too deep but if you haven’t touched your pinion and your backlash is the same then you should be good to go. As Eagle mentioned, you are reusing gears so getting these back to original spec it really the key vs trying to set to new factory spec
  23. Make sure they mask off your tailgate handle bolts or any other bolts you need to access down the road
