Once again It Don't want to start !
ejndssn replied to NewToJeeps's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Wildman wrote I have found that the retainer nut on the NSS was very loose :brows: which i have tighten up and whala she lives this was on my 96 cherokee with the kinda same problems u have been experiencing. i would see if loose or still there may have to go to a bone yard for the retainer and get the NSS while you there and do as the site recommended by wildman for rebuilding to have a hot stand by  good luck and keep us posted. [/b] -
yes i have and been running it pretty good it starts up very quickly, for the most part its plug n play. :brows: there is one thing though need to clip the distributor retainer ears so that the timing can be adjusted. there are two type of cranks from the 4.2l one is the heavy CW and the other light CW. The heavy CW will need some machining to the snout here is a site http://www.jeep4.0performance.4mg.com/ that you also can start with.

MJ's with Gambler Rim? **Update ** Tell me what you think!
ejndssn replied to SuperWade2's topic in The Pub
how about one that states stroker 4.6l -
I am running an AP stroker with the 5.2/5.9l Chrysler injectors, and have been running this setup for a while. The gas mileage has not change that much I would say bout the same. 18/22 mpg that’s if a take it easy I’m also running lower gears 3.55 which does make some difference. I can tell you this she does run smoother and starts right up. BTW there is an formula for choose the right injectors based on ones application {hp* “Brake Specific Fuel Consumption” / injectors* duty cycle (HP*.50/INJCTR*.80) }. It was brought to my attention that the spray patterns on the ford injectors are very good which does help in the area of MPG & HP.

the one on the left looks like an internal setup and the one right is an external based on the image you will need the bell housing for sure to start with which you find at the bone yard the slave its self should be had from a local parts store or let your finger do the walking "discount jeep parts" see what you find there this links shows the difference http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=86384&stc=1&d=1064967859 this image is from off-road just for starters and keep us posted

-
so we are limited on the colors :dunno: which is fine by me  my wife thinks that there should be pink ones for the ladies. BTW It looks dang good.
-
since this is a internal slave it has been known for the retaining pin that holds the slave cylinder in place to come loose which could be part of the problem. I personally don't the internal setup for the above stated reason there are some that do. good luck and keep us posted
-
you most likey have internal slave ax-15. 89 was the transition year between the frenchi" ba10/5 and the ax-15. I would have to agree with "JeepcoMJ" drain and check the fluids this could be lost of syncro's. if you can put it on a frame lift and attempt to run it through the gears and see what you have just a thought. good luck and keep us posted

i would have to agree with bama there "Dino web site" i had my stoker a few years my self and i did the AP kit which may or may not be doing them any more. it really depends on what you want the is a golen stroker out there as well. The thing i like about these are they are plug and play with nice power/torque to go with it with no major problems with the install

Underbed spare carrier.
ejndssn replied to joshmillslane's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
that isn't the only thing to go u may want to check the rubber gromet that is holding the metal plate that retains the wheel in place. The quik fix would be to get one of the cable clamps and try that or if you have time see what your local bone yard has to offer. either way it may need some improvising to repair. BTW I have the same issue and still thinking about the best fix for it myself. :brows: -
Hey Pete The funds are airborne no problem with the date enjoy your hoildays with your family
