  1. I know....LOL. But what are they? I don't care about the waggy grille parts and taillamps and that stuff. Renix parts. What can't we get anymore?
  2. There seems to be some mix-up lately with the NTK sensors. I don't know if they are mis-boxed or what.
  3. Fuel injection related only. What CAN'T we get? Or, are we getting fake news regarding availability? NAXJA hit a dead end in the link below. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1136697
  4. And not just because I'm in one...... http://omgyoutube.net/channel/UCBktCe0E1v6DPWggdIkQnfw
  5. An FYI, at the dealership we replaced plugs, wires, cap and rotor every 30,000 miles. Wires were only specified every 60,000 but we found they didn't make it that long.
  6. NEVER forget AMC!!! Ever see the photos I took at an AMC owner's convention in Sedona, Arizona? https://imgur.com/a/spPds
  7. I would always recommend doing the tC bolts as a precaution anyway. It's quite common. Hell, it happened when they were new!!!!
  8. So, yesterday morning, I decide to do a bit of work on the carbs. I had all the spark plugs out for a reading. I removed the carb top for the rear carb and did the needed jetting. As I picked up the carb top to reinstall it, the brass float pivot pin slid out and went into #2 spark plug hole. Finally got it out last night using bubble gum to stick to it. Slurpee straw as a special tool. Thankfully I had my Hobo Freight bore scope that I never used. Only ever loaned it to friends....Used a shop vac to suck it out. We weren't sure it was out because we could only see the gum and the gum could have had the pin in it. Imagine our celebrating when we found the pin in the vacuum!!!! Fished the gum out with a piece of wire and she's up and running. So now its 4:30 AM and I've still gotta wash it. Luckily I have a heated garage as it's 41* outside now. The photo is of the piece of bubble gum with the float pin laying across it.
  9. Good time to upgrade both.
  10. You need to do the obvious fixes first. Vacuum harnesses for instance. and wiring repairs. No butt connectors!! You can just plug off the vacuum to the EGR for now. If it were hanging open, your idle would be horrible. Not to shift gears too far, backfiring under load can be a sign of a weak fuel pump.
  11. 02 sensor is reliant on the heat from it's internal heater, not engine temp. Yours should be switching about once a second. See if you have 12 volts or so at the red wire at the sensor and that the black wire has no resistance to ground.
  12. I LISTEN to no Lame-stream media. They're all owned by globalist libtards. I READ news from alternative news sources only.
  13. 94 to 98 ZJ. Longer wheel studs. Get the longer mounting bolts for the caliper mount from the donor. Or, contact BigDavid on Cherokee Forum and he sends you the kit.
  14. I have the TransGo kit on my shelf......
  15. Yes it does!! I go from my MJs to my wife's XJ and crack my noggin getting in......
  16. Here's a link to a ton of stuff I made a few years back. Mostly Jeep parts and horseshoes. https://imgur.com/a/waI5G
  17. I vote for option 1. But, I'll muddy the waters a bit. You could build the 91 into a stroker and put it in with Renix fuel injection.
  18. If it's an 88, the bad grounds and dirty C101 connector will cause one or more sensors to read incorrectly. Up to 4 of them actually. If he used an O2 sensor other than an NTK, that could be an issue also. http://cruiser54.com/?p=24 http://cruiser54.com/?p=44 http://cruiser54.com/?p=19 http://cruiser54.com/?p=35
  19. For moving stuff around the yard and loading it into trucks. An old cherry picker modified to slide into a receiver hitch. And a fuel tank sender removal tool. Made from some pulley off a 4.o.
  20. Yeah. I'm not seeing a ton of unavailable Renix stuff. Even in a thread on NAXJA, they're stumbling around trying to put a list of stuff together that they can't find. It ain't even a list yet.
  21. So, what parts are unavailable for Renix?
  22. Never hurts to search "poor man's stroker" either.
  23. The disc conversion is probably easier!! LOL. No tin foil hat required. I hate working on drum brakes.
  24. If you're looking for power, the HO swap will disappoint you. If you're gonna build an engine anyway, go stroker.
