  1. you guys didn`t notice?
  2. I respect Cruser`s knowledge, i`m sorry my advise is nto as good as his...
  3. Misleading? he says he has everything from the donor, he can either swap the whole thing as it is and call it a day, mixing Renix and Mopar stuff is not as straight forward...
  4. is there a visible leak? could be master/slave or the link between... but if it`s not leaking fluid then is the master cylinder
  5. In your case it`s easier to swap ererything in, engine, ecu, harness, dash...
  6. that`s a good reason...
  7. Why ditch the AX15? many would kill for one... litteraly..
  8. first, how many RPMs at idle? second, does it happen cold, hot or both?
  9. counter shaft inside the tranny has left the building
  10. Put some WD-40 before you loose them, those bolts are old and probably rusted, you don`t wanna break them... i learned that the hard way
  11. Captain Obvious to the rescuee!!!!!!!!
  12. no, but you gonna have to guess which position you are on...
  13. in a manual? why?
  14. some time ago i tried an XJ with that switch, i was curious and obviusly took the chance to test it: comfort mode works as long as you don`t floor it, faster shifts and at lower rpms and the TC locks soone too, i assume that flooring the engine makes the tranny ignore the switch and reverts back to power mode in case you need to accelerate
  15. The ECU ignores the O2 sensor until it reaches operating temp and goes into closed loop... you may have a broken O2 and still be able to start and drive the truck..
  16. if the engine is cold, the small flap open and the engine sucks hot air from a jacket in the exhaust manifold, it closes when the engine reaches operating temp... get rid of it...
  17. If you want to use that tranny so bad... get a HEI dizzy...
  18. you XJ was 4.0+AX15 so you have factory 3.07 gears automatics with either engine are 3.55, 4bangers may even be 4.1 so you need a 4.0+manual MJ to do the swap unless you can swap the rear axle too...
  19. does the chevy you want to swap in comes with a tranny? if so is better find a way to put it under the MJ than expec the ax5 to withstand V8 power
  20. I patched that same leak with epoxy 5 months ago... still holding on...
  21. conect the cps to an analogue multimeter and quicky swing an IRON piece in front of the tip, you MUST get some sort of signal, if so, then you must consider you flywheel may be bad
  22. You can check the master looking inside, by the fuse box, there should be no corrosion or sign of leaks, if so the culprit is the internal cylinder, even if you can`t see the leak is there, the fluid has to go somewhere... you may even take the chance to go external...
  23. i hope he did notice that, even being a six speed with 2 overdrive gears, the 6th is only 0.83, the NP3550 has only five but with a lower final ratio at 0.78 early aw4s had a 0.70 OD...you may as well go that route... or use a 3.55 rear axle, just get it from any auto XJ and be done...
  24. if they work in the other MJ then soemthign is wrong with you flywheel... or wiring...
