The gears of industry turn very slow and never turn backwards, give them time young man. I'll also add, it helps to be a family in-law.
  3. I'm a big Justin Verlander fan. He done good with our losing Tigers. Would like to see him finally get a WS ring. Hope he helps the Astros go all the way. I think he'll pitch game 6 in LA. EDIT: My brother lives in LA. He might not think the same way I do.
  4. Check your P/N circuit for path to gnd (auto). No gnd no starter.
  5. What you say is true. FSMs do contain flow charts used for troubleshooting, but your FSMs are not updated with TSBs, special bulletins, full size replacement sticky pages w/corrections or 30+ years of experience.
  6. Nori, does that player you got shuffle your mp3's on your stick drive or does it just play them alphabetically?
  7. OK, I see them slide switches (must be the limit switches) inside the antenna on the electrical drawing. Yea, relay plus position of limit switches determine motor polarity.
  8. My question is "What turns off the motor when its either fully extended or fully retracted?" I can't see it from the electrical drawing. Must be something internal to the motor.
  9. Put that pile of Renix stuff you got to work for you.
  10. During compression/power cycle, both intake and exhaust valves are closed.
  11. Those bubbles should have showed up in your coolant recovery bottle. Two (2) types of radiator caps our available out there and I, truthfully, don't have a good understanding of either one. I just know, one of them is for a coolant recovery system and the other one isn't. This difference is based on how they work, not on PSI rating. Investigate your radiator cap. Do you have a part number for your rad cap?
  12. Pin each CPS wire back to the ECU for continuity. If your still running with C101 (Engine Control harness to Injector harness) disconnect and inspect entire connector for crud.
  13. Nicely done. What's the JP 25 stand for? I found JP 18 and JP 29 on the Web.
  14. Are you taking your shots with a digital camera? If so, what kind? Large file sizes are used for making poster shots (2' x 3') or even larger then that.
  15. Hooked up correctly and operating properly are two different things. Does coolant level rise and fall within the bottle as temperatures rise and fall within the radiator? Disconnect hose at radiator and blow back (air hose) towards coolant recovery bottle. Make sure cap is for a coolant recovery system.
  16. Make sure the coolant recovery bottle and hose from radiator, if equipped, doesn't have that stuff living in it.
  17. I'm not sure if you have bad head gasket(s) or not. Didn't mean to imply that. I had a bad head gasket with bubbles in my overflow bottle, causing my overheating problem. 18psi cap seems a little high to me. Fine line between raising pressure to control overheating and maximum system pressure (all engine gaskets). Does coolant recovery bottle work properly? Could engine be running extremely lean (check spark plugs)? Don't know engine temps using IR reader. Are you using a 50/50 mix? Anti-freeze is also a coolant.
  18. In my case a faulty head gasket (was a known problem) caused my overheating problem. Can't say which came first for you, overheating, then head gasket or head gasket, then overheating.
  19. Different vehicle but same problem. Look for air bubbles in the coolant recovery bottle, if equipped. I could see one bubble every one or two seconds, took about 20 minutes before engine started making noises and major overheat. In my case, it was the head gasket.
  20. Swap out the Oxygen Sensor Heater Relay with a known good one. No voltage to O2/O2 heater will simulate a lean condition. Something is telling the ECU your running lean. Also check for low fuel pressure, dirty injectors, both cause a lean condition.
  21. No Start should not include No Crank and Faulty Battery/Charging system. No Start should assume these sub-systems are operating properly. If necessary give each one of these their own flow chart. Now we're down to 22 pages.
  22. Eliminate CPS as a possible cause. CruiserTip7
  23. Not sure if it matters, but link has a .doc extension on it. Requires MS WORD to open.
