  1. Yea, you just took 10 years off my life. 57 Chevy had the fold out hinged chrome piece at the end of the fin.
  2. Wasn't it Buick Riviera (mid 60's) that had fuel fill behind the fold out tail lamp assembly? From my days as a fuel pump jockey.
  3. Passenger side fuel fill also helps keep the idiot, when its not you, or the poor soul when it is, out of traffic when adding a gallon of fuel to their vehicle on the side of the road. I do like driver side fuel fill though.

    New Phone Scam

My iPhone allows me to set a default ringtone and separate ringtone for my contacts. By setting my default to "Bulletin", which I find pleasing, then setting all my contacts to "old phone" I don't even have to look at my phone to determine who's calling. Kind of a pain in the azz at first, but once set will work very well. If as mentioned, someone I know calls me not in my contact list, they will leave a message. At that point I'll add them to my contacts and change the ringtone. Seems during the day my phone will ring with a relaxing and pleasing sound and then I go Ha Ha.
  5. I'll bet it has a lot of vacuum hoses.
  6. I understand that sometimes the gas station fuel pump symbol will be located on one side or the other on the fuel gauge. That is on the E side (left fill) and on the F side (right fill).
  7. That hose with handle is 50/50 at best.
  8. Does your vehicle (any vehicle) have a fuel fill door indicator (left side or right side) located on the IP cluster? I just found mine on my 99 Cr Vic.
  9. Proof that Natural Selection takes time.
  10. Doesn't CTS affect IAC for the choke function? I think CTS is a high priority for IAC and INJ PW (when/if connected).
  11. Fuel acts as a coolant for the injectors and fuel pump. The fuel pump will circulate the fuel. I would not run the injectors dry for any length of time. You might also want to put some sort of load across each injector. That electrical energy needs to dissipate somewhere. Use a high wattage, low resistance resistor.
  12. Vortex gun. Could have a winner here. Ohhh all this dust in my head now.
  13. Don't recall any name for the tool, but the principle was fast moving air over a venturi. Hooked up one way for hot, opposite way for cold. Just what is the name for that tool? At one time MS 1700 was the "King of the Hill". Must be dating myself now. Is this why I have all these pains?
  14. How come there is no mention of the MS 1700 tester? Did they all end up in the trash?
  15. Diagnostic Readout Box
  16. Both EGR and PURGE (fuel canister) are sub-systems that deal with fuel vapors. When either one or both are activated, they add fuel to the delivery. In return INJ PW time is lessened. Keep in mind these are minute calculations, but none the less, part of the engine strategy. Not sure if O2s will compensate over time for this lean condition.
  17. As shown under External Links: "Cruiser's Renix Tips". Domanche Club. 7 December 2012. Retrieved 15 May 2015. Thanks for the ride down memory lane.
  18. MT ECU won't kick it 50 rpms for the PN function. And you know that how? Old AMC days.
  19. MT ECU won't kick it 50 rpms for the PN function.
  20. O2 sensors operate within a range of authority, that is, they can only control PW so much.
  21. I have no voltage value for you. Any reading above 0vac would indicate action on that circuit. Take reading at D2-9, no need to disconnect anything.
  22. ECU pin 6 controls the grounding for the FP relay (pin 2(85)). If FP runs and injector is hot, good CPS. ECU pin 27 supplies square wave for ICM. Try reading voltage on a VAC scale while cranking the car. Hold gas pedal to floor, should shut injector off.
  23. How does one change Member title? Mine currently shows "Can Spell Comanche". I can't find it under "My Settings" and under "My Profile/Community Stats" "Edit my Profile" takes me to "My Settings".
  24. Low life lives amongst all the generations. Sorry on the lost of the truck. Be happy that you didn't shoot him. You'd have more than just truck problems.
  25. Who moderates the Moderators? Hope I don't get kick out now. Maybe I should be saying farewell fellows.
