  1. Yea, your understanding this right. Also, C157 is another location to find this wire. Don't know anything about the 10 pin connector. Color code: DK BLUE C269_R (Headlamp) C157_B (IP to CAB) Pg 69 Location C157 (6 pin) Pg 77 Views C157 Pg 91 & 92
  2. Did you ever have hot air during the winter months or did this just start today?

  5. Found something you might be interested in. Article on cold starting, relay to ICM pg 6. Just thinking about where you are makes me cold. https://files.acrobat.com/a/preview/7cab64fd-fa7d-45be-b2da-a8209a4fbef3

  8. Battery heat blanket might help for a longer crank time. Sound like voltage is dropping below 7vdc and thats when the ECU will act a little funny. 5 volt regulators need at least 7 volts to stay alive.
  9. Not to be some kind of smartazz here, but what about your spark plugs? Sounds like that vehicle should have started. I like that -35° 'stay in start' ignition switch and how you pumped that pedal (accelerate pump style). Spark plug mileage, gap (.032), and rounded electrode, would be where I'd start first.
  10. 88 Electrical manual show high beam indicator receive voltage from the headlamp dimmer switch connector (C177_3). This voltage is inputted to IC (C203_8). C177 located LH side of IP next to light switch. You can tap power anywhere along high beam circuit.
  11. Documentation would be spec sheet thing. Run them and see how it goes. If you got the time Miller's got the beer.
  12. Both IAC and TPS assume correct throttle plate setting. Did you try cruiser tip 14 – Restoring Throttle Butterfly Adjustment? Also never touch the fuel pedal when starting the vehicle. ECU will learn closed throttle over time. Does IAC reset when engine is shut off? You should be able to hear it. 3 to 5 seconds after key off.
  13. Not sure on how much fuel you expect to get from an empty gas tank or should topic read "Emptying the gas tank".
  14. I think you'll have bigger problems than hard start/long crank when B+ Latch circuit is faulty.
  15. Shouldn't the rotor tip be just past the #4 position prior to dropping in (stabbing) the distributor. When lowering the distributor and engaging the gear, rotor tip will rotate towards the #1 position.
  16. Sound like you got a handle on it.
  17. Cruiser tip #14. Restoring Throttle Butterfly Adjustment.
  18. Just curious, does vehicle experience any driveability problems or issues?

  20. OD doesn't matter, larger ID technically could slow down response time, but at a steady state (ex:idle) will have no bearing at all.
  21. May or may not be helpful. Dealership special tools may be required. http://www.revbase.com/BBBMOTOR/TSb/
  22. Is that your low battery indicator showing on your VM?
  23. I don't know, but I have to asked. Does that engine block have a plug for draining the coolant? If so, that might help.
