  1. Actually it may be just a loose/corroded battery terminal.
  2. I got the seat (my black one is torn)
  3. 3.73 is far more common in 8.8s than 3.55 and I finally found one with 4.10s but don't have $$ to get it.
  4. Same as the '89 I parted. Still have the carpet and some of the plastic interior panels.
  5. Find wet pavement and do a panic stop (with no-one around) Rear will likely lock up if you're running empty.
  6. O rings on the oil filter housing are another spot. Pinched trans lines too (burnt ATF looks like motor oil but sure doesn't SMELL like it!)
  7. That's correct
  8. Since I wasn't the original owner it's possible someone may have swapped in a carb motor. I've had 3 with TBI and 2 MPFI XJs with 2.5 as well
  9. Do you have the barcode? That can help to find them online and in stores
  10. trapped in a cage with a 2yr old? I have a feeling that dog is more nervous than you... Just another chewtoy The dog? or the girl? Depends if she's teething or not
  11. Only if I pull the trans with it.
  12. Too bad you're not close to Seattle. I have a whole '89 longbox tank with pump and sender for $50
  13. Actually a couple made it through in early '86. I had a black one I sold 2 years ago.

Wish I had one in my MJ today. Bozo passes everyone on the 405 on the LEFT of the HOV lane, cuts back in (right across the front of my truck) and 3 lanes of traffic to get stuck under a semi with a Mitsubishi or something (it was a blur!)

  16. If yours is std, either will work.
  17. Is it raining or snowing?
  18. That's because Jeep used the GOOD thermostats with the hole drilled in them to allow air through so they don't vaporlock. By '92 they went to a thermostat housing that didn't trap air like the Renix ones did. http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Cooling/BurpAirMod.htm
  19. Throttle Valve Switch
  20. I use a modified steering wheel lock.

You're required to have a release form from anyone you record. WA state is just audio that requires a signature. You could hear anything clearly on my vid or I would've had a more serious problem. They still haven't returned my camera either.
  22. I've carried 3,000lbs and towed FSJs with my D35. Shows no signs of going south (running synthetic oil to protect the pinion bearings mind you)
  23. Too late now, but in future see if clicking undo brings it back

Just an FYI, but not all states allow indiscriminate video taping. I recently had an issue with Johnny law and nearly got a $5,000 fine and time in the hoosegow because my video also had sound which is verboten in WA state. http://www.infowars.com/15-years-in-prison-for-taping-the-cops/ http://www.cbsnews.com/videos/dash-cams-pros-cons-of-the-high-tech-devices/ http://www.expertlaw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=133857 Illegal also in Illinois, Oregon and NYC
  25. Brendan has an '88 (according to his handle) and my first question would be original used or aftermarket new rad? Used rads can be clogged. Especially Blackstone which had cooling tubes too small from new. Did you convert to open system? (if 4.0L) Did you loosen the temp sender to burp the motor?
