Spring shackles for 89 MJ LWB
rokinn replied to Warren Mohler's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
They're Ford. I ordered and have measured them against the stock ones and they appear to be identical. They haven't been installed yet so still unknown in that sense. This link says it's their last one. Haven't looked to see if there are other sellers. Part # is F65Z-5776-DB. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000O047IW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -

Had both of mine since 3/3/21. And I was behind compared to most everyone I know close to my age.

I 2nd Firestone Destination A/T. I find them to be quiet and still have good traction on steep dirt roads. I towed a camper that had an aggressive off road tire on the highway and the road noise was very noticeable. IIRC they were the BF Goodrich AT's but I have to go across town and look to know for sure.

I was born in Idaho, albeit quite a bit further north in Lewiston. Lived there until I was 10 full time and worked my uncle's ranch about 25 miles east of there up the Clearwater River in the summers until I left for my college and military sojourns. Most of my immediate family is in Oregon so I've driven I80 & 84 more times than I can remember. I've lived in CO nearly 50 years. I spent the night a couple of years ago in Mt. Home and camped in the state park just south of there on the Snake river on the trip out. Aside from the AFB, some irrigation farming from the Snake, and freeway traffic motel biz, there isn't much going on there. It's a way station in a very arid part of the state. The mountains to the north are fabulous and beautiful so there is that. I'm a westerner through and through and love a rural lifestyle but I would have to paid a lot to want to live in Mt. Home. But that's just me.

Off the top of my head..... it seems like posting photos of what you have and then finding out who is interested in purchasing one or another of them at a given price. Then making a route after determining who is interested, perhaps involving a rendezvous at a given time and place or possibly a surcharge for route alterations outside a given distance from an acceptable route of your choice. Definitely a down payment. I don't think 50% is unreasonable. Minds tend to focus a bit better that way. Good luck.

If I may....From what I understand, that is a common misconception. Archeological findings show that ancient humans were capable of living to ripe old ages, per dental and bone examinations. Average life expectancy was low, for one, because surviving birth and early childhood had quite a high mortality rate. Life expectancy was in reality pretty low but that was mostly due to many other factors like disease, sanitation, lack of medical capability, famine, wars, the list goes on.

As do I. I know I remember accurately because I had to use it not long ago. They were still using them in April of 68. Mine began with an RA as I'm sure yours did as opposed to U.S. We remember them because we had to yell them out multiple times a day for the first several months. IIRC we had to announce it to get out after singing jingle bells running around a platoon sized room filled with CS gas. Perhaps it was squad sized. Some things are more vague than others.

Your static water pressure should be between 45 and 80 psi. Meaning only the valve with the pressure tester is open. You can also determine if there is a leak by monitoring your water meter. Leave everything off for a couple of hours and see if the reading changes. If it does you have a leak. If not you don't.

Years ago I was a student of Spanish having left my workable knowledge of Japanese behind. When I met my wife who is German, I left Spanish behind for German. I expect you're probably beginning to get the picture. Anyway, we used to travel in Europe a fair bit with friends. Traveling in Italy I remember in one sentence using English, German, Spanish and Italian. Everyone knew what I meant and a good laugh was had by all. I spent a month in Spain once visiting and traveling with friends that live there. I used to go out by myself to Tapas bars for "pre-lunch" or almzuero and would order little beers called cana, pronounced with the little tilde above the n. Having heard pretty constantly another very similar "four letter word" that sounds out with long O sounds instead of the short A sounds I was constantly ordering little beers using the wrong word that is shall we say is "very" gender specific. The look of confusion I would get from the bar tender would prompt me to say, you know, una cervesa por favor. I once made the same mistake with my Spanish friends with me and of course they were completely mortified saying "Get out, just get out, in not entirely mock outrage. Got those two words cleared up right then and there.

Have you checked the pressure reducing valve? It's likely filled with debris and in need of a good cleaning due to the work on the main line.

I think the point of "The Middle" was to acknowledge and reinforce what we have in common as countrymen and women. Common needs, desires, aspirations for health, security, meaning, freedom to worship a deity as we wish...or not. To have our individuality validated in the pursuit of happiness. If we start from there instead of self identifying in some limited tribalistic competition zero sum approach we may just find agreement where it seemed there was none to be had. A common set of facts goes a long way toward this end. Not an easy task, to be sure, these days. There are a lot of people making money through misinformation and division as well as the destruction of the commons at our expense. As the old saying goes "A Country divided against itself cannot stand." A wise man once said to me on the subject of self knowing.....I don't know is pretty damn close.

I recommend the White Rim Road in Canyon Lands National Park just outside Moab, UT. One hundred miles of stunning landscape. https://www.earthtrekkers.com/how-to-drive-the-white-rim-road/

It is a pretty spectacular shot.
