  1. Internal slave?
  2. Bad @$$! Is his pickup rotary powered?
  3. Looks good! I had a bad miss on my 2.5 till I did Cruiser's tips. I basically cleaned up every electrical connector, upgraded my grounds, and replaced the vacuum lines. Problem solved.
  4. That thing is beautiful!
  5. I'd just re-use the TBI set up. My brother has a MPFI 2.5 in his XJ and I don't see a huge power differnece between his truck and my TBI MJ.
  6. You can look at my build thread pics as well. Mine's a 2wd SportTruck with a 2.5. I have damned near 3" of lift in the front, none in the back, and 31's on high offset wheels. I have a bit of "Arizona rake", but it rides well and has plenty of clearance for the larger tires and higher offset wheels.
  7. Well this axle is in my Currently in my Cherokee and in order for me to get a correct geared front axle it would have to be geared to 4.10s which is RARE in south Florida or in any Jy for that matter...and the cost of regearing is just not worth it for me just for brakes... Do you know if I have to change out the unit bearings as well? You could just drop in your gears in carrier into the newer axle, couldn't you?
  8. Why not just drop in a later model XJ front axle?
  9. They end up being around a 29x10.25r15, btw.
  10. 255/70R15's look great on my brother's XJ with nothing but a budget boost in the front, work very well in sandy conditions, and are pretty much the same overall diameter as 235/75's. He's running General AT's on Canyons with no rubbing.
  11. Up to you and how much lift you want. I personally haven't gone SOA because I drive a lot of highway miles with mine (the taller the vehicle, the worse the mpg), and I don't want to lift loads into the bed more than I have to. What can I say? I'm lazy!
  12. Magnaflow stainless for me. Running 2.5" from the downpipe back with a 18" glasspack in place of a cat and a pretty large turbo style behind that. It's pretty deep sounding for a 4 banger, but it is kind of loud at parking lot speeds. My body and tires are louder at 60mph, though.
  13. Are you thinking of doing the WJ brake conversion?
  14. Trico makes beams for the old style arms. I got mine at Oreiley's
  15. Thanks! I'll look into the Rancho set up. Have any of you guys heard anything about the Superlift long add-a-leaves? They're listed as giving 2" on our trucks, but zi bet that's on a XJ. Still, those combined with shackles should be ok, no?
  16. I have 3" of lift in the front and was looking at around 2" in the rear, mostly to give the 31's I'm running a little more clearance, as they barely rub the flares when compressed (wide offset wheels). I'd also like my truck to sit close to level (I don't like a lot of rake).
  17. Hello all. I know this subject has been brought up in the past, and, having done research on the matter, I was set on ordering a pair of add a leaves from Hell Creek. Unfortunately, after placing my order, I received an email stating that they are no longer producing this item. Are there any alternatives to Hell Creek add a leaves, or should I just start saving now and buy their full leaf packs? Thanks in advance!
  18. Awesome! Let me know how much it'll be to get it shipped to 79927.
  19. I don't like automatics on vehicles that will often be used in austere conditions. If it were me, I'd do an AX15 swap and build the engine to basically stock spec.
  20. Hello all. I'm looking for a Renix era instrument cluster that includes the tach for my 87 2.5 SporTruck. Thanks in advance!
  21. I'm running Anzo H4 conversion housings with Sylvania Xtravision bulbs, a home made relay/heavy gauge wiring harness for the headlights, and a pair of Optronix LED flood lamps on the bumper as off road lights. I feel like this set up does very well for most situations I encounter, though I may add some pencil beams for use in the desert.
  22. My zip is 79927. Let me know how much shipping would be. I can send you a US Post office money order for it, or Paypal if you'd like.
