  1. I had the same issueon my '87 2.5. It went away after I installed a new intake/exhaust gasket and rebuilt my throttle body.
  2. An 8.8 would likely be the same amount of work and money to throw under a MJ and will be MUCH stronger than a 27 spline 8.25.
  3. I guess what I want to know is how to replicate what crown sells with off the shelf parts.
  4. Theoretically, you don't need a steering damper on a MJ/XJ/ZJ if all else is in good working order.
  5. For which one? 95-96 XJ and WJs I've always used them as a unit. Inthe Crown kit?
  6. How'd the track bar bracket look on the body side?
  7. Changing fluid would be my first step. What do you have in it as far as fluid goes? I personally have 10-30 synthetic motor oil and love the way mine shifts. Other guys use Redline MT90 and report having great results with it.
  8. Thanks for the heads up! I'll look i to the Maasdam as well.
  9. Hello all. I am in the market for a new jack, and need y'all's input. I've always had a Hi Lift of some sort in my rig, but my last one got pilfered. I've been shopping around and have come across offerings by other manufacturers such as Smittybilt, Reese, et al. What are y'all's thoughts?
  10. I had EBC rotors and pads on my big, heavy, aggressively driven ZJ and they never warped.
  11. Holy crap!
  12. The sector shaft bearing (and the skid plate aspect) were not my primary concern when purchasing that piece, to be honest. What really hooked me was the ability to tie in both sides of the frame and having integrated tow points up front without necessarily swapping out my stock bumper.
  13. It's not that heavy, when you consider it's a brace, an extra bearing for your sector shaft, a mini skid, AND a recovery point.
  14. WANT. Carrying a long gun in a MJ can be an exercise in creativity. Half of the reason I went from a .45 to a .357Sig, actually.
  15. Thanks! I've been looking around and they all seem to be for XJ's, unless I missed the one you're mentioning.
  16. I don't think I'll need something super beefy, as I've only got 31's and do absolutely NO rock crawling.
  17. EBC Yellowstuff pads would be my choice for an aggressive street set up.
  18. But this one is just a spacer, it does not have a forth hole for increased structural strength. I have to check to see if the 4 hole spaces will work for me, as I'll be installing a Boostwerks steering brace at the same time.
  19. How's the general quality of the JCR stuff?
  20. Thanks for the info!
