  1. I'm running a pretty high offset wheel already and the fronts stick out more than the rears do. I think our trucks are wider out back than they are in the front.
  2. http://www.ballisticfabrication.com/Leaf-Spring-Perch_p_1987.html These are they.
  3. You beat me to it. Are those the ones with three locating holes? That's what I was thinking of but I didn't know who makes them. Yup. I have a pair of them ready to go on my 8.8. They're longer than stock too, so they help with axle wrap.
  4. I'm going to look them up now. I also saw that using ford explorer leafs would center it more? Just going thru my options. Thank you for the reply. No prob. I suppose as long as the leaves are 2.5" wide you should be able to mount them (assuming they're long enough). Make sure you use the leaves of an Explorer WITHOUT the air ride system. My 98 Limited has that system and the leaves are pretty flat.
  5. I wouldn't blame thw box in that situation, to be honest.
  6. How'd you measure the spring perch spacing on your 8.8? I'm about to drop mine in, but I keep getting cold feet.
  7. You could get some Ballistic Off Road perches for your rear end. That'll allow you to play with the axle position a bit.
  8. Define larger tires. My ZJ runs 32's pretty darned well with the stock box.
  9. Just drop in a boneyard ZJ box if you want a beefier unit that won't limit your turning radius.
  10. I ran one in my ZJ for years. Great rear end.
  11. $125 plus the price of a pair of Spyderco spacers (plus shipping). and a set of brackets $20-50 Plus the price of a pinion flange adapter. That means we're up to, what? 300, give or take? Not a bad deal at all. I went out and got me an 8.8 myself.
  12. Pretty much. If you plan on off roading a lot, keep it in the YJ location. If not, reclock it to the MJ/XJ location.
  13. You would either need to re-clock the t case or bash your floor plan a little.
  14. There are ghetto-rigged options: http://www.angelfire.com/my/fan/MAP_adjuster.html
  15. FWIW, the TJ Canyons and Grizzlies I believe were 15x8's.
  16. Cool find! If it's been sitting, I'd replace the clutch master and slave as well as the clutch set, change all fluids, then do tips 1-5 on Cruiser's list.
  17. Sounds like you have a good plan! Can't wait to see what you end up with.
  18. Check BFG. Their AT/KO's used to come in 32's and 33x10's. Maybe their KO2 is still made in those sizes.
  19. That thing is CLEAN. If you just plan on cruising it, I'd keep the 2.5. I use mine for back country exploring (I do a lot of survey work) and the stock 2.5 has held up well to my use. I'd check the clearances on the main and rod bearings if possible and check the cylinder walls for wear. If all looks good, get the head rebuilt.
  20. If your compression is testing within specs, I'd just extract the bolt.
  21. Go to Oreilly's and get BWD part # 10822. It's what I used to replace all the gaskets on my 87's TBI system.
  22. Pretty standard stuff. You'll need to get your manifolds off, extract the bolt, install a new gasket, and re-assemble. Not too bad, really.
  23. Maybe post in the classifieds section of the forum? Anyway, I'm sure if you're able to make bucket seat brackets for MJ's, you'd get quite a bit of business around here. That, and replica rollbars.
