I haven't participated in the whole religion thing for some time, so somebody please correct me here if I'm wrong. But I believe what Jesus supposedly said was "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's". That's not quite the same thing as saying to "pay taxes". A wise man taught me that words are important. We need to make sure that we're using the right ones.

It just occurred to me that those of us who have jumped out of perfectly good airplanes probably shouldn't be too hard on those souls that aren't smart enough to practice proper social distancing!

You are certainly welcome! Pm me anytime. Regarding the messages...I don't know what problem you're having, but a few years back I had as issue as well. Messages through CC that showed up in my email account didn't always seem to go through if I responded through email. What worked best was to just come back to CC and respond directly through the site. I've never had any missing communications doing it that way.

I must not be as OCD as some others on here. I'm reading this thread and my thoughts are more along the lines of "I have door handles on all the doors. I'm Good!"

Rebuilding/Restoring 1987 Comanche

That's probably the best advice anyone can give you, especially since you're in the early stages of learning. Just taking something apart is fairly easy. Putting it back together (correctly) is a bit more tricky. -
Tail gate rubber bumper/stopper

That approach worked out well in the apparel discussion. -
I'm a bit envious. The lady that I live with was in the market for a small truck a few years back. A Frontier was one that we test drove. She ended up with an S-10, but we still talk about that Frontier. I'd love to have a new one before they change the body. I don't see it happening though. Good for you!

It would be nice if they would let you see what's available, and put it in your cart or on some sort of wish list. But the way the Amazon platform is set up, if it isn't currently available for purchase, they won't even let you look at it.

Thanks for alerting me to this problem, as I hadn't caught wind of this until you brought it up. I've inserted the official notice from Amazon below. As much as I have a love/hate relationship with Amazon, I can't fault them for this. For the most part, I feel like they really are doing the best they can under these extreme circumstances. I'll let you know when I hear that we're back in business in regards to apparel. 3/25 To help prioritize delivery of high priority items to customers, we are temporarily closing our US print centers. As a result, Merch products on Amazon.com will become temporarily unavailable starting today. Merch products on Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de currently remain available for sale. Product creation and editing are paused, but royalties will continue to be paid on schedule. If you are advertising Merch products, please visit Amazon Advertising to update your ad campaigns. Thank you for your patience and for being part of the Merch community. We will update the dashboard as new information becomes available.

I guess I'm busy "planting seeds" of a sort. Besides selling online for myself, I also help product / brand owners launch on Amazon. Introducing myself to prospects usually works best face-to-face. But there isn't much of that going on right now! So I find myself writing more letters to business owners that I can find, and might be able to help. These are trying times for everybody, including businesses. And I think it's going to be that way for awhile. I never know who I might be able to help, so I just keep putting myself out there. If anybody knows someone that might want to talk to me, feel free to shoot me a pm. I can contact them, or they can contact me. Whatever they're comfortable with.

Back in the late 80's I was coming home from work one night and went to pass a slow moving Pinto. He decided that instead of letting me pass, he wanted to race. I was in a Yugo. I honestly don't remember which of us came out on top. I just remember how pathetic that had to look, and desperately hoping that nobody was watching!

I'm calling that a win!

By the way, welcome to CC! -
Growing up is terribly overrated. Don't rush it.

Let's say it was food for thought!

Well, this certainly isn't good news! I don't honestly feel that I fit into the first group. (As much as I wish it were so.) And I try real hard to not fit into the third group. That just leaves... But at least I recognize my limitations! All kidding aside, I have a great appreciation of your abilities Jeep Driver, even if I'd make different choices sometimes.

That's the one! I'm in the same boat as you. My truck came with the cover, and no clips. Let's see who else chimes in here. Maybe somebody has one they could loan you to work up a copy from.

Mine is from a 1980 movie starring Jeff Bridges and Bianca Jagger titled "The American Success Company". It wasn't a terribly popular movie, but I liked it. At the opening credits, they abbreviated the movie title to fit it onto a credit card. The plot in a nutshell is that the main character can't get any respect at home or work until he takes on an alternate persona.

I know zilch about 3D printing. Would relay cover clips be a good candidate to reproduce? They seem to be in short supply.

Keep us updated on this. Several times now I've seen the Liberty axle mentioned as a swap option, but I think you're the first person that I've heard was actually doing it. Did you get disk brakes on yours?

When you get right down to it, taxation is just legalized theft. So keep every dollar you can, any way that you can! -
What is considered not stock

Wise advice indeed. -
Some things are non-negotiable. And if you're really and truly prepared to fight for what you believe in, you had better hang on to something to fight with.

I have no intention of doing that to my postal, but that is pretty darn cool! Thank you.
