  1. My floor needs attention that it hasn't gotten yet. So this comment got me to thinking. Would it make any sense to try to use this as a pattern of some sort? The last I read, there were no patch panels specifically made for Comanches. Everything available new requires some degree of "tweaking". This may be a really dumb idea, but I'm wondering if a 3D printer could make floor patch panels that would be a better alternative than the metal parts available to us now. I've managed to get hold of some NOS body parts for a postal jeep that I have no intention of using. I just want to make sure there's a perfect, new part available, in case someone ever tries to reproduce it. So obviously I've given this sort of thing a little thought. I've just never done any research. Thoughts?
  2. THAT'S a problem I never anticipated! PM me and let me know what you're interested in buying. I'll give it some thought. I have no doubt that there are ways to make it work.
  3. Please update us with pictures when you get these on the truck. I have a set of the turbine wheels too, and I'm torn between the black and tan coloring between the spokes. Those sure are pretty though!
  4. Eagle who? Seriously...I'm glad you did the "smart" thing instead of the "macho" thing. Going to have it checked out sooner, rather than later, might have made a difference in the outcome.
  5. I guess I'm just an old fart, because what stands out to me is the lack of Monty Python contenders in this list, like "Life of Brian" or "Search for the Holy Grail". I also have a soft spot for "The Full Monty". (Which of course had nothing to do with Monty Python, but still a favorite of mine.)
  6. I don't know. I look at this and am reminded of that old adage, "Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD."
  7. On a positive note, Amazon is dropping prices on long sleeve t's, sweatshirts and hoodies. I was just getting ready to resubmit some hoodies and caught the change in policy that came about Jan. 30th. They will be doing the change themselves on existing designs, on a rolling basis. So I don't know for sure how long it will take to show up. But it's coming. The price on hoodies will drop from $32.48 to $25.05. As pissed as I am at Amazon over the difficulties getting our designs approved, I have to give them credit for this change. It's always nice to save a few bucks. Short-sleeve t's will go up in price. But we don't have any of those available yet anyway.
  8. I just got off the phone with someone at Amazon who I take to be reasonably high-level. And I pretty much hung up on him, because he was just wasting my time. I don't want anyone thinking that I've just gotten lazy with this. Since the beginning, it's been hit-and-miss in regards to getting our CC designs approved. The very same designs have been both accepted and rejected. Sometimes I can sneak something through, but the vast majority of the time I get shot down and have to start the process all over again. So far we don't have any t-shirts, and there are still a few hoodies that I want to make available. That may, or may not, EVER happen. But I'm going to keep trying. The most those dumb@sses can do is shut down my Merch account. Even if we reach that extreme, it shouldn't affect the CC designs that are already listed in the Amazon catalog. I still love the idea of using Amazon for our shirts. It's probably the most convenient way to make them available. It's just been much more of an ordeal getting the designs accepted than I ever dreamed it could be. If at any point something else gets accepted, I'll be sure to let the club know.
  9. I love plasma cutters. I got to run a big twin table unit in a factory years ago. The speed and precision just amazed me! They let me nest the parts on the steel sheets, but they never taught me how to design the parts though. That looks like a really nice toy, if you don't have to fight the programming too much.
  10. Darn you, Darren. You got me! I actually googled that. Now I feel like an idiot. What makes it worse is that I LOVE that movie. We even have a red Swingline stapler in the house!
  11. Abby, the extent of our loss is exceeded only by your own. But thanks so much for keeping us updated throughout. Don was always in our thoughts and prayers. Condolences to you and the rest of the family.
  12. Thanks for the link. I think I'm interested, whether the dress comes with that or not! I just tried your CC search myself on a couple different devices. I can't duplicate what you came up with. Amazon's system must be having a bad day. But it sure is good for a laugh! (Maybe if you had the right shoes...)
  13. I've occasionally bought running vehicles. That's a problem I know how to fix!
  14. Excellent. I take it you're happy! Feedback on Amazon is always appreciated. Not necessary, but appreciated. Any design submitted has 180 days to sell. If it hasn't sold at least once in that amount of time, Amazon removes it from their catalog. Anytime I see feedback has been left, I know that particular design is "safe" and should stay in the Amazon catalog forever. Yesterday I submitted the hoodie designs without the ".com" again. We'll see if they are accepted this time around. Just a reminder for anybody looking for CC apparel. Go to Amazon and search for "Comanche Club". If you don't put it in quotes, all kinds of unrelated products will show up in your search results.
  15. You just couldn't help yourself, could you Neal?

    scam or not...

I can't help but think of Crocodile Dundee's quote, "You call that a knife? This is a knife!"
  17. Same here. I'd rather spend more money for something that will last longer.
  18. I feel like I'm a little late to this party, but once I discovered this post I just had to chime in. It's probably heresy to say it here, but if I could only have one vehicle it would have to be my postal jeep. I'd choose it over the comanche. It's just impossible for me to climb into my postal and not smile. And that's before I even turn the key. Four Wheeler magazine did a series back in the early 1990's where they bought a surplus postal and proceeded to convert it to 4x4 and make other improvements. I picked mine up in 1996 and it became my daily driver for ten years. I still have it, but it's not a driver anymore. I also have another postal with a good body and frame that I found in Texas and dragged home. The plan is to eventually turn the two into one. Someday. Driving any old jeep, or similar vehicle, like this is a kick. But try it with right-hand drive and you'll be hooked! It's like learning to drive all over again. I'll stop gushing now and let you guys get back to the topic at hand. That's a very nice toy you have there, neohic.
  19. Thinking of you and your family this Christmas morning.
  20. Two more pullover hoodies are available. This time it's with the ".com" version of the club logo on the back, instead of the front. One is black and the other white. I'll try to get versions without the ".com" next. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MNBZ5G8 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MCZ1D7D
  21. I'll be keeping Don in my thoughts. And Eagle, thanks for letting us know.
  22. The first hoodies are live. Both of these are with the ".com" version of the club logo on the front. One is black and the other white. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LBDFJTP https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LBPBZGC
  23. I'm working on hoodies. Short sleeve T's will be up next.
  24. I'm glad you like it! If anybody isn't happy when they get their item, please be sure to let me know what the issue is through CC. Amazon will take returns of course, but they won't share with me what the complaint was. (Unless you choose to leave negative feedback. And I'm really hoping that nobody ends up being that unhappy.) On the other hand, if you're pleased with your purchase, feel free to leave feedback on Amazon to clue in the next member as to what your impressions are. I haven't ordered anything yet myself. One of my reasons for doing this is because I want some CC apparel too. But I'm going to hold off on making a purchase for now. Any item I submit will have 180 days to sell. If there isn't a sale by then, Amazon will pull it down. I'm not terribly picky, so if we get close to the deadline on any of these, I'll try to grab one of those to keep the item available. I can wait that much longer. After all, this is my baby.
  25. All the black/white, .com/no .com versions of the long sleeve T's and sweatshirts are now showing up on Amazon. Just be sure to put quotes around Comanche Club. Hoodies will be next.
