  1. 96-01 XJ also any ABS XJ or ZJ and any TJ.
  2. Pictures could be a lot better. Is it that hard to show the whole truck in one picture? Does look to be in nice shape.
  3. With adapters and less back spacing you are going to be 2"-2.5" wider per side. Plus with the 10" tire you will be past the flares.
  4. Hose looks bloated and soft too.
  5. There is no way an XJ shaft (101" wheelbase) will need to be shortened to fit an MJ shortbed (113" wheelbase). You must have an MJ shaft of some sort.
  6. So you posted without even opening the hood? Lol
  7. Get a Luk clutch kit and flywheel your year truck off of Rock Auto. $157 for P/N 01901 heavy duty clutch kit with slave cylinder. $54 for P/N LFW193 fflywheel. I have gotten over 230,000 miles out of a Luk clutch. YMMV
  8. You guys need to move to the rust belt. Lol 96 cherokee stick: $100, rotted bad but runs and drives mint.
  9. That blue Dodge is a cartoon truck that screams "I have more money than brains".
  10. You can't by anything at twice what that truck is worth that'll be half as good. Clean Comanches are getting harder to find and I see the price going up. If I were you I'd keep it. It would cost to much to replace it and nothing else would be as efficient or durable. Nice truck, wish it was mine.
  11. I added a full 3.5" xj lift spring pack with just the eyes cut off. I took out all the MJ leaves except the main and overload. Ride isn't to bad and it added at least 500 lbs capacity. Gained a couple inches of lift too.
  12. The Bosch unit will not look like the original, it will be smaller. It should come with an assortmant of rubber and plastic parts that will adapt it to the original pump cage.
  13. Eagle, I have a 1994 242 and probably a driveshaft for it if you're interested. I don't have any use for it so you can have it. I also have a 98 231 that you can have. I imagine the driveshafts are the same. If not you can have the one from the donor.
  14. If it was originally auto it may have been converted already to AX15. Check to see if it is internal or external slave bellhousing.
  15. Luk rep set or Luk gold. Make sure it's for a 91, not a later year. It should come with the pilot bearing and internal slave cylinder along with a clutch disc pilot tool to line up the clutch disc with the input shaft. The Luk Gold clutch in my 1998 XJ has lasted 230,000 miles. That includes heavy towing and offroading.
  16. I always keep an eye out for high mileage one owner or long term second owner cherokees. My 98 I bought from the original owner in 2007 for $1,700 with 209k on it. It currently just turned 444,444 miles the other night. Still has the original engine running good having never been opened up. But they made 3.5 million cherokees and only 190,000 or so Comanche's so they were a lot easier to find.
  17. Switch was in January of 1992. I have had 92's with both styles. So your 91 2wd calipers will work. If it was 4wd the switch was done in the 1990 model year.
  18. Stub shaft's are unchanged from pre to post 99. The only thing that changed was the wheel bearing and brake rotor.
  19. No tether on my 02/92 or 04/92.
  20. Also one has a 14mm/9/16's head and the other 15mm. I want to say the upper has the 15mm head thereby being the metric bolt. This is in all my 92-99 jeeps.
  21. Probably spent a lot of coin on balancing and quality components. Sure is cool.
  22. I think you add your renix oil pressure and water temp sending units to the engine along with the sensors that the 5.3 needs for it's computer.
  23. $38,173.93 is the converion on the inflation calculator.
  24. Just installed a 94 4.0 HO into a 99 XJ this past winter. Had 140k on it. It sat out side under a K10 truck topper on a tire for 7 years. All we did was pull the pan and valve cover to put new gaskets on and closed it back up. The cylinders looked clean with no rust. Put it in and fired it up after cranking it a bit with the coil wire off. Ran mint, guy was happy.
