  1. going spring-over gives 5-6 inches of lift.

    star wars

it's the first of a new trilogy. just like the first lord of the rings movie was a good movie, but there was clearly more story to tell. :D

    star wars

I second this ! I watched the originals and liked them and that was fine for me , there are plenty of other movies Id like to see be made into sequel/prequel but they probably wouldn't bring in top dollar . It is funny though that when people find out I'm not a Star Wars fan they seam realy suprised , perhaps it's a generational thing as I'm only 32 . how can you possibly make an opinion on it without seeing it first? I seem to remember lots of explosions. it was a solid flick. very well done. no need to reject it just because other people like it. you don't need to be a star wars fanatic to enjoy this movie.
  4. welcome to the addiction! :waving: feel free to start your own build thread in the build forum so we can all keep track
  5. some areas allow you to re-title, others don't. you need to check with your state. you didn't hear it from me that the VIN tag in the window is attached to the dash, not the metal body. :peek: I too have a rust free shell of an MJ waiting for a future resto or project. :D
  6. this is why we have the comancheclub cards. if you need some just let me know

if you liked 4, 5 and 6, go see 7. not that you didn't already know that. :D
  8. there's a thread somewhere in the DIY forum about swapping between stick and auto. http://comancheclub.com/topic/48710-diy-projects-writeups-master-search-index/
  9. kids like attention. nothing gets attention like ruining a perfectly good car/truck in an attempt to be different.
  10. only you (and mods) can see your own points.
  11. light weight, near-flat tires, and a means to hook up a strap are really all you need. . :MJ 1: . I would actually give consideration to leaving the bumper and winch combo behind as long as you can retain a strong strap point..
  12. my dana 35 worked fine too... right up to the day it blew teeth all over the place inside. and that was a 2wd daily driver with monstrous 30" tires. mileage matters not. they are simply not strong. explorer 8.8s are available with 4.10s and disk brakes from the factory. more beef, more gearing and more braking for the bigger tires. that's a win-win-win. car-part.com can help you find one.
  13. soa lifts 5-6". your leafs would pretty much be a negative arch to bring that back to 2". why do you need to go spring over? 2wd packs (with a second main leaf) and I had a bit over 5" of lift.
  14. yes, b-pillar speakers were optional.
  15. welcome to the addiction! got pics? what are your plans?

    Thank You

    congrats! . :MJ 1: .
  17. gotta be something in here that's useful:  http://comancheclub.com/topic/47935-everything-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-the-aw4/
  18. yeah, I wish I had a "super pin" button.
  19. clusters are grouped 84-86, 87-90 and 91-96. 84-86 and 87-90 can be converted back and forth with some minor mods. the tach may not be accurate if it came from a rig with the other size engine (if it came from a 4banger, it'll still read 1 rpm per 4 ignitions), but most can be adjusted to work right again.
  20. gears, gears, gears. best kick in the pants for the buck. what gears do you have now? what size tires?
  21. MJ springs are pretty darn soft already. what shocks do you have?
  22. do NOT regear a dana 35. throw it away and invest in an axle that will last. just so ya know, regearing can easily cost 500 per axle. keep in mind that you're looking at doing a lot of work to a vehicle that you use every day. reliability and drive-ability are your friends much more than trail toughness.
  23. and after all that you'll still have a ba-10/5. gag.
  24. what size tires? what are you doing for gearing?
  25. dang! I bet it does. :ack:
