there's no minimum post count for posting pictures. what site are you using to host them?

the mods and I have been in discussions about this off and on. So far our concerns about the drawbacks have outweighed the possible benefits. in a perfect world feedback would be great, but in the real world the mods and I would have to deal with any negative feedback and the truthfulness of it all. I've had to endure plenty of headaches from the classifieds already and am not looking to take on more at this time. we've had problems with members who were new, we've had problems with members who were much more established. the vast majority of members here are upstanding guys, but everyone should treat it more like craigslist. if it helps, members who don't hold up their end of a deal are given a shot to rectify the situation and if they don't, they are toast.

have someone saw the steering wheel back and forth quickly while you look for any sloppy movement in all the steering linkages and track bar.

if that axle is from an XJ, make doubly sure that he moved the leaf perches to MJ width. otherwise your leaf bushings will fail. :(

based on the wrinkles in the sheetmetal and the, um, quality of the woodwork it almost looks like a late-night I-gotta-drive-to-work-tomorrow kind of fix.

I wish I could make it go away, but I don't have the skills to change code.

yeah, bumpers need more support than just those 6 bolts if they are ever to be yanked on. unlike wranglers, that's all just sheetmetal in that frame. I would avoid RRO (have a history of poor quality and bad service) and go for rubicon express or rouch country drop brackets. :thumbsup:

yup. treat it like paint. all the loose stuff has to be pulled up.

you can easily go with drop brackets to get those arms back to level with the ground. :thumbsup:

I say it will make for a good rat rod. it's not as clean as one would hope, but certainly has potential. :D

what are your compression numbers? any rod knock?

if you already have your shocks, then you know your maximum measurement. now you need to get the suspension to drop fully down and see where your maximum shock extension point lines up on the axle tube. then get your suspension to fully compress and see if you need to add bumpstop length to keep the shock from bottoming out.

IMO, 4.10s beat all other aspects. :thumbsup:

love that truck! :bowdown: I know there's a thread somewhere that shows better pics of the exhaust. I just can't seem to find it.

proper control arms, longer swaybar links, bumpstops, and figure out what's up with the driveshafts. those are some seriously ugly welds on those shafts.

previous owner definitely cut some corners, but I'm sure you'll iron it all out. good score :thumbsup: be sure to start a build thread as you dig into it.

yup, treat it like paint and you should be fine. pay close attention to the instructions of the new liner. some may call for a scuffed up surface (like with sandpaper)
