  1. was going to skip on buying the poster until I saw it came with an envelope and letter I've never seen before. and this arrived too. always figured there were other little posters than just the Archer Bros one (after all, Jeep usually had 3 trucks running in each race), but never saw one 'til now. came with a poorly zeroxed timesheet too. next year I think I'll work on doing reprints of the little posters so more guys can have them.

    MJ shackles

    did ya find anything?

    MJ watch

this particular one is broken, but this is what you're looking for. same shape, same band, same button layout, and cross your fingers that the guts interchange (my gold one is actually slightly different than my silver one inside). don't buy one for parts unless it works or you might just the have 2 non functional watches. https://www.ebay.com/itm/385385079327

probably because it's using Jtrucks and cherokees rather than actual MJs.

    MJ watch

gotta find a 1980s watch on ebay that looks the same but with a different image. it was a very popular cheap watch. I did it like 10 years ago so I don't remember any of the details.

    MJ watch

does it need to function? I'm willing to let another go, but it's unresponsive to a new battery. they were very cheap watches back in the day and are not sealed against moisture. the one I sold works only because I bought another old working watch and swapped out the guts.
  7. I wonder if XJ rear belts would be long enough. they won't have the seat belt buzzer wire though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/196016417142
  8. have you cleaned up the rear ground behind the driver side taillight? that's where the pump grounds and is notorious for causing issues when corrosion creeps in. you should accomplish all of Cruiser54's MJ tips. most are wiring related and cover the known flaws. should be one of the first links in the link in my signature.
  9. are they "dual illumination" bulbs?

    Wheel safe

damn, dude. it's good to "hear" your voice. make sure to stay positive and keep hope alive. crazy advances in surgeries and spinal fixes have been happening lately. light years ahead of just 10 years ago.
  11. is 4lo engaging the front axle?
  12. so the fogs DO split off inside the main harness first. good to know!
  13. I do wonder if 80s GM trucks would work. those have got to be easier to find.

so after watching a couple videos on the upcoming lawsuits, I'm starting to wonder who's trucks are in the database of images they pulled from?
  15. not out of the main harness. only need pos and neg and the fog light harness would have the split in it. I am just guessing though, but not much else that would be in that spot. I can check the trucks in the morning if no one chimes in sooner.
  16. the rocker bases will bump you up a bit higher over stock MJ bucket assemblies.
  17. for the last couple decades it was my beloved diesel KJ. but these days she's more or less retired from heavy duty towing and I just borrow my pop's Durango RT.
  18. man did I dream hard about portals 20 years ago. clearance for days!
  19. rarely do leafs and coils come to the exact measurements advertised. too many variables (including the opinions of the driver as to what look they want). ya gotta take a shot at it and adjust to your liking afterwards. the ACOS will come in handy for that
  20. best part of the single shaft upgrade is getting the bigger Ujoints with the later shafts.
  21. seems like the guys in norway should put together a wish list of needed parts so they can combine shipping costs. it's not impossible to ship overseas, it just costs a lot for that single part. I once shipped 2 pair of KJ tow hooks to a guy in England and he sold the second pair right away to cover the entirety of the costs and got free hooks.
  22. potential problems with LEDs in the brake light spots: -not enough light going straight back into the eyes of the driver behind you (LEDs don't project light out the same as a bulb and so the light gets scattered all over instead of directed rearward) -not much difference between parking light brightness and brake light brightness -not every LED for sale of a particular size is actually sealed against moisture the dim-able interior LEDs I run in the clusters I sell are actually a bit too bright (meaning too bright on high and too bright on dim) and so I made them less so by blocking out a couple of the individual LEDs on the bulb. works great. I'd share a pic of what I'm talking about, but I'm out of town at the moment. I can when I get back this weekend.
