  1. the 23 and 16 are longbed. 18 is shortbed.
  2. If I remember right, the 23 goes in, but will have an extra strap involved. but I haven't done it myself, so wait for confirmation from someone else before pulling the trigger.
  3. 32? do you mean 23?
  4. does one side have reverse threads?
  5. it's also a modern shorthand for : "your project is super awesome and I need to follow the progress." I see it a lot on the faceybook.
  6. MJs rot from the inside-out. frames, rockers, bedsides, floors. there are 20 + ways for water to enter the cab and once there, it'll rot your floors. it's best to know for sure what you're dealing with. Even if I pulled up my carpets and everything was factory fresh, I'd still probably take the opportunity to coat and protect the metal.
  7. send me a PM with a name/address and I'll send yours out.
  8. that's just plain awesome right there.
  9. haven't been on yahoo in years, but it still makes me a little sad to lose all those great conversations.
  10. MJs rot from the inside-out. and inside the bedsides, inside the rockers, and inside the frames are... difficult to deal with. primer is not a sealer and thus not a final coat. you must hit it with a paint too.
  11. the link in my signature has a few highlight threads for swapping transmissions around.
  12. I swear one of these days I'm going to roll down the window and do all that stuff before pulling forward 3 feet and getting out to grab the pump.
  13. that is one sexy truck. no doubt about that.
  14. grounds, grounds, and more grounds. can't have too many of them
  15. well? did you get a chance to install it?
  16. that's one heck of a transformation there!
  17. just gotta be proactive with parts-swapping, that's all.
  18. I built my entire truck without welding a single thing myself. bumpers, suspension, rock rails... everything but the bends in the rollbar were fabbed by me using a drill/grinder and then hauling it to a pro for welding. I'm not about to trust my life to my own welding skills.
  19. be very careful with A-pillar plastic, as they can be super fragile
  20. for my rear wall I bolted up a piece of 3/4" plywood and covered it in speakerbox carpet. I wanted a more useful wall to which I could screw brackets (fire extinguisher for example). that was 15 years ago though, and the original part is long gone.
  21. there are a couple 5.2 swaps in the Epic Tech forum. both guys say they wouldn't do it again, but they swapped in stock engines.
  22. nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!
