  1. It is important to acknowledge and enjoy the little things in life.
  2. interesting. I was able to snag the photo's address and go there directly. you guys needs to remember to save photos and upload them here. it appears that the entire truck was up in the air and then the drivers side slipped off but the lift caught the body.
  3. yup. just says "no description available". I assume it's a linked photo?
  4. I don't see anything.
  5. even still, I'm driving back to Michigan next week and would like to have a bit of suspension under me, so I'm off to the junkyards again. (I really should find us a bouncing Liberty gif like that.)
  6. stainless steel tends to be less strong than grade 5 or 8. but for a diff cover, I'd imagine you'll be just fine.
  7. yeah, she's really coming together. Just need her to stay together. I may go back to raid the rear coils off that junkyard CRD. I've got 2-3" of up travel available up front and 0" out back. I mean, they can't be worse than my current ones, right?

    Beer

beer in any form is an... acquired taste. took a while before I started to like the flavors.

I have often wished that Oberon came N/A so I could drink it more often. I'm usually the driver with my friends so I might need to seek out one of those Buckler thingies so I'm not stuck drinking sugar water all the time.
  10. back on all 4 feet. New upper arms and new-to-her knuckles, unitbearings, lower balljoints, and shocks. and for some reason I seem to have gained an inch of height in the front. also finished all of the renegade flares. But I'm beat and running out of temperature and light so her bath will wait until tomorrow.
  11. do not go faster than like 5mph and the MJ driver should have their foot on the brake so the rope is always tight. When making a stop, the towed rig should do most of the actual braking so the rope stays tight. fire up your phones and put them on speaker so you can be in constant contact. Bonus points if you do it late at night when there aren't other cars on the road. super bonus points if you ignore all that crazy nonsense and just call a tow truck.
  12. I've won my battle with the upper bolts. I got lucky and the 2 drivers sides weren't fused to the bushings and so it merely required contortionist levels of tetris-ing to get them out. today's battle is swapping the pass side coil. don't know why the other side was so freaking easy.
  13. does not apply to me I have to look for new vibrations.
  14. for better or for worse it's literally the only option. ACC makes them and the rest are resellers. shop around to find the best price. when it comes to installing it, lay it out in the sun for a while to make it pliable. do not cut anything until you have it exactly where you want it. it takes some effort and patience, but will look good in the end.

that's a good looking truck! be sure to start a build thread to show off all you're doing
  16. that's going to take a bit more the JB weld...
  17. more lift will only help until you flex or hit a big bump. Seems to me like a notched pan and/or a custom trackbar would be the solution.
  18. I think you're talking about the 1990 ECU upgrade. 1991 would be a completely different animal.
  19. HellCreek used to be the only game in town, but the quality was very good and the owner was here on CC and would answer questions, etc. but then a couple years ago something changed... and the trucks getting the new leafs had the tire pushed forward in the wheelwell a noticable amount. In more than one truck. and I seem to remember that HC claimed that's how it was supposed to be and would travel back as weight was applied in the bed. But the tire looked... off the rest of the time.

  21. the more I look at it, the more it looks like it's just a door leaning against the wall.
