one side came out clean, the other cracked a bit but I still took it. I tried mightily to get the rear window trim but whomever installed that window used waaaaay too much urethane and it kept tearing apart.

I thought about that but then decided that they should be simply adding flat steel to the area instead. grabbed the parking brake and fuse box and even the carpet (for reasons that befuddle me) what's done is done. I've taken all I can justify buying.

trains. went across the country in a train once. it was kind nice getting to see the scenery but not have to drive 30 hrs. Die Hard 1 or Die Hard 3

Tiger. If I was a billionaire I'd be trying to daily drive that puppy Hiking or mountain biking

I certainly hope it's just a maintenance thing. that'd be an insane amount of XJ/MJ knowledge lost.

indeed. relearned that myself just a couple weeks ago. that's why it's so important to take a test drive and re-torque the rims after any procedures involving tire removals.

rocks v12 or turbo v8?

I already took the rears. doesn't look like it in the pics, but the fronts are kinda mangled. spare tire winch is also deformed (the rear bumper sorta... pushed into it a bit ) might still grab that though if I can get it for free. I'd never removed the vents before and they made a cracking noise so I stopped, but I read Dzimm's instrustions and will try again tomorrow.

once upon a time I built a similar thing out of wood beams. loved it! except for it didn't move. it was just in the garage. I had to lift the engine up and then push the whole truck backwards. lol. I need to make another, but like yours -

I mean, that sounds like a fun project but it also sounds like it'll be in the barn for maybe quite a long time? -
anything special about the HO MJs that I'm forgetting? It feels like I'm missing something. something that's unique to the 91-92s. I got a pile of the usual stuff but made sure to snag the fuel pump and the headliner. the engine was already gone and the wire harness was hacked apart dash harness was cut up when someone pulled the cluster was a 2wd auto column shift but the column was seriously jacked up. the whole thing was rotated to the side I think I might try and pull the carpet. I'm definitely going back for the rockers and a couple other little things.

I think I'll just start naming them with their number. I think this is #8? been in an accident but the passs side is mostly fine and it's, of course, rust free.
-
last I checked it's made of steel. just apply more as needed

Floor repairs (is this bad? I think this is bad)
Pete M replied to Gubachoo's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
you're well on your way to perfect floors I'd probably cut out the frame cap because rust will continue to tear things apart underneath. -
less and less left each day. going back tomorrow for the rockers after I charge all my batteries. that drivers door was a super pain to get open.

if something is going to fail, please let it be in the driveway.
