  1. there's probably a couple threads like this. not sure how old they are or if everything is still available that was listed. 3x5 box steel is always available
  2. so when I first saw this I bid a buck so it would give me updates. just now I received an email from ebay stating: "Jeep Comanche Madalion is almost yours". as if all the other bidders backed out and now my dollar was winning or something

  4. as rusty as that is and as much work as it'll need, I'd probably buy a clean whole axle and swap that in (always buy brakes/bearings/etc for the year of the axle as some things changed slightly over the years). but that's just me. I dealt with rusty parts for most my life and avoid it whenever possible. if you want, you can retain the current axle behind your garage, but there's nothing on it that would indicate that it's the original axle (as compared to another CAD axle). there might be a link to a writeup on swapping in later shafts in the link in my signature. this is your CAD (central axle disconnect)
  5. I have the memory of a goldfish. what's your question?
  6. I don't think he's asking for the flares themselves, but rather the ground effects bits that mount between them and the rear bumper.
  7. very little of that is useful to you. wrong bolt patterns, wrong spline counts, etc.
  8. now's the time to stop. it never ever gets any easier.
  9. 87-90 clusters swap directly. take care when trying to remove yours. use the junkyard cluster as practice. if you pull the cluster out too far before unclipping the speedo cable, you can cause issues with the cable.
  10. the Cruiser is reassembled! ended up doing that suspension bushing on the other side too since it was hanging on by a thread. ran out of daylight so tomorrow I'll go for a test drive and check my work.
  11. paid for #11 today but they are unable to pull til weds so I drove a long way for nothing. pics as soon as it's home. someone snagged the tailgate ahead of me though.
  12. oh dear god no....
  13. happens to the best of us.
  14. the brush doesn't stand a chance...

  16. novak hasn't got a 100% track record on info. close though so it's hard to say. but I wonder if @jdog or @eaglescout526 might be able to find something in the Jeep computers? maybe? fingers crossed?
  17. thank you internet.
  18. that didn't last long at all. didn't even get to whip out the popcorn emoji. being in the box is a nice touch. still not big enough for my head though.
  19. I don't remember much of it any more, but going through my photos it appears I used a bottle jack to force the axle into position. it might have been less of an issue if I had the coil compressed a bit so the axle rotated just a hair.
  20. if it makes you feel any better, guys frequently struggle with reinstalling the stock arms too. is at least one lower arm in? or are they both out?
  21. I promise it all worked out in the end
  22. that's not at ride height. that's at full droop and the bolt isn't in yet.
  23. google "cash for clunkers" and you'll find tons of info. was a bit of a dark time for old car enthusiasts.
