I have one of his radios and plugged a bluetooth dongle into the AUX cord to give me wireless tunes while I was at it I added a second USB adapter in the dash to charge my phone.

in theory the steering stabilizer can help control the side to side vibration (if indeed that is what's happening), but can't cause it when bad. It's not necessary to the system and lot's of Jeeps don't have them and drive fine.

engine choices aside, I'd upgrade the rear axle for sure.

yup, check out the builds in the Epic Tech subforum. lots of choices in engine any LS will make all the power you desire.

the Big Ton was another name for the Metric Ton package which had heavy duty springs, shocks, and rear axle to bring the hauling weight up to 2000 lbs. impressive for a little truck. both 2wd and 4wd were available in all years of MJ, but the 7ft bed was the only size available in 1986. after that both 6' and 7' were options.
