personally I would skip adding any chrome unless I could go whole hog on it (mirrors, bumpers, handles, rollbar, etc). just doing a front fascia would look off to me on an otherwise dark truck. as it so happens I just received a offroad magazine in the mail yesterday (purchased for the article on Jeep Motorsports) and this is the cover truck. show trucks back then went nutso on the bolt-ons, especially if it were shiny or brightly colored. it's not a look that has aged well. what is that, 10-12 lights up top? maybe even more shocks? triple rollbar? black out the shiny things and bling-up the black things. all it's missing are some hot-pink shock boots and squiggly stripes. but this is a show truck. not everyone back in the day went in this direction, though bolt-on snazzy things were all the rage. I think your truck would go a long way with the rollbar, louvers, and a lighted visor. maybe some rear mudflaps. oh, and some round tube nerf bars would fit right in.

it's a 6", but triple wall so the outer diameter is a tick over 8". what you see is just a leftover piece that I used outside on the deck. when I get it back inside the house it will have regular 6" up to the ceiling where the triple wall takes over for the rest of the journey.

finally got a hold of Don for some details and it seems he changed his mind and is getting another Ram this year which explains the v8. he said next year he'll get a Gladiator. no Hemi in the Glad... yet...

I go prepared technically that might be someplace in a thread about what everyone carries.

what leads you to that conclusion? what are the compression numbers?

that's what solid extraction points and friends are for. I got the front drivers tire over a log and that snagged me in place. otherwise I'm not that stuck in that pic. I've been more stuck.

some dogs love mud. Carly was like "I'm just going to stay in here. I can hold it and pee later" ticks and mosquitos aside, Rockport was a lot of fun.

and back to square one. after several flame burnouts, I've found that the thermostat lever isn't actually connected to the air intake damper. so I stuck a stick in the back to hold it open and we'll carry on with this burn and later on I'll diagnose why the linkage isn't attached. sooooooo glad I did this first fire outside!

it's alive!!! the first break-in fire has been started.

gotta collect them all!

now the real challenge... finding a poster frame big enough.
