also, sometimes you need to be a bit patient before we can get closer to "the truth". meaning we gotta wait for all the court cases to wrap up. our system is pretty dang good if not a bit slow (for better or for worse). functional, but definitely slow.
  2. If you haven't seen it, go see it. I'll wait here for you to get back. be sure to turn up the bass in your sound system. ok, now that we're all caught up, what would be your totem? far as I remember, the rules are that it has to be something small that only you are familiar with. the look, the weight, the feel, whatever. it cannot be duplicated by a dream architect to trick you into thinking you're dreaming or not dreaming or however those weird rules work. mine would undoubtedly have to be my little leathermen. it is on my hip near all my waking hours (for years now... so long I don't really remember not having it) and is used and abused and no longer like any other leathermen. only I know how much effort the various tools need to swing out. only I know the various damages done to them. plus then I'd have an extra tool with me in any dream sequence.

the air is full of particulates. the snow was kind enough to bring you some.
  5. I totally understand. but you shouldn't have much trouble selling them. but they are heavy to you need to focus on local advertising
  6. being 8" wide, TJ Canyons are one of the best factory rims out there! ZJs were similar but had thinner spokes and were only 7" wide.
  7. welcome to the addiction!
  8. I can't see the clutch plates through the steel but I would replace it anyways since you're this deep into the disassembly. check on that pilot bearing too.
  9. oh yeah, looking goooood
  10. yeah, that bumper is epic
  11. sounds like you need some new coils. also, I would upgrade the lower arms to WJ arms while you're at it.
  12. keep us posted!
  13. when it comes down to it, most any bucket seat can work for you with a little 1x1 square tubing to make an adapter. don't feel that you're limited to MJ/XJ stuff.
  14. wow. literally on the wheel itself. they ain't kidding around with covering their butts.
  15. I keep updating that link and they keep selling out so I gae up and it's just an example now
  16. whatever you choose to go with, if you can make it fit and work, it's all good. you might get some friendly jabs, but we're all MJ lovers here and creativity is the spice of life. I went with old Ford axles just to make a project out of it. but fair warning, in my 20 years of being in the online Jeeping community I've seen a lot of the more creative engine swaps loose steam and never get finished because there were just more engineering hurdles than the owner wanted to deal with. but I'm happy to lend any assistance I can to make it happen.

    "The Middle"

"truth" is just a word and it can mean various things, from the laws of physics, to how to raise a child. there is wiggle room on a lot of things that different people would consider a truth. unless we're talking about politicians makings stuff up to suit their own agenda.

the inability to even try to understand another point of view knows no age limits. (this is completely separate from agreement or compromise)
  19. 84-95 XJ seats with the straight slider will bolt right to the Comanche's floor brackets. MJ buckets and MJ benches have the same floor brackets. seats with the curved slider will also bolt on, but will raise you up a couple inches.
  20. is it an 86? possibly added by me?
  21. the bullet points are Tom Aslith created a yahoo group back in like 98 for MJ owners. yahoo groups were basically a way to send mass emails back and forth to others in the group (the internet was still rather young back then, nothing like today). the platform worked ok if you have just a few members, but had severe limitations once it grew. I discovered it maybe 5 months after creation and jumped right in tot he addiction. a year or 2 later out of the blue Tom asked me if I want to take the reigns. he was selling his truck and getting out of the whole thing (pretty sure it was health reasons but I cannot remember for sure). of course I jumped at that opportunity! fast forward to I think 05? and we had clearly outgrown the yahoo groups so I set about finding a free forum software. I bought ourselves a little corner of the internet and with the help of all you guys/gals, here we are today.

if you're new to MJs, this is the thread I suggest reading first
  23. that part of the firewall by the booster should be identical.
  24. the metric ton package could be added to any long bed MJ regardless of trim package.
