  1. the welded bits are indeed embedded in foam (the whole frame is), but it has been shown that you can weld some in if you're super careful not to set the foam on fire. later backs go right on older seats. I upgraded the 88 I was working on with headrests using a spare 91 back I had.

  7. unless you're looking to solder to the preamps inside the radio, you'll need a converter that takes your amped signals (the wires that previously ran to the speakers) and converts back to a preamp signal.

  13. make sure the little tab in the bottom of the socket isn't squashed flat and failing to make contact.

  15. could be a loose or corroded connection in the wiring or in the multi-function stalk. those suck to have to track down. did this happen before the LEDs were installed?
  16. from what I remember reading about them, the fitment is poor, the metal is thin.
