of course it's the weekend I'm in michigan helping my cousin install a new furnace. got my flight and everything. oh well, promises are promises I guess...

have someone wiggle the steering wheel back and forth while you crawl underneath and see what's moving and what's not. just keep in mind that it's a solid axle with a Y linkage and old-school steering box. it'll never be as crisp as a modern IFS rank-n-pinion car.

every single XJ 97+ has the valve removed, whether with or without AC. Jeep themselves eventually got sick of it -

you can get the flushing benefit if you simply turn the heat on now and again. especially first thing when you fire up the truck so you're not baking yourself in the summertime -

most importantly it eliminates the complicated, failure-prone valve setup. also means coolant is always flowing through the heater core which reduces the chance of sludge buildup. -
check your electrical connections

the fan speed switch's end of that harness, so right under the radio. -
all the same criteria needs to be met. big file sizes, permissions from each owner, someone to volunteer to do all the work, etc...

use the truck to tow the car that can't possibly go wrong. -
what an odd sounding thing. is it some sort of... competition?

keep in mind that only 2dr XJ buckets lean forward. with some minor mods (usually using 1x1 tubing to adapt your floor brackets to the seat base), most any junkyard bucket can be made to work. 2dr cars with generally lean forward. be prepared to fight with unbolting your seat from the floor. I recently had to slice through all the brackets to get a bench out. fortunately Brandon makes replacement brackets
