  1. I miss the squishy cloth seats of 90s vehicles.
  2. if you buy poly bushings, be sure to add a bit of grease to the surface to prevent squeaks
  3. just a heads up, those sway bar bushing bolts in the first photo are incredibly prone to snapping, even on otherwise clean trucks. be careful.
  4. I replaced all the orings on Breanne's 88 only to have one injector split and spray gas all over the place a few months later. could have easily burned the truck down. I swapped them all out for factory ford Expedition injectors from a junkyard and it runs great.

merged I kinda love that J-10 hood
  6. I think so. but it's not from the big Moab trip because I didn't own the boggers yet.
  7. it wasn't all that bad. most of the deep stuff was avoidable. definitely needed a bath after though
  8. I really enjoyed my day in the muddy trails of Rockport Offroad park in Illinois. don't go during tick season though.
  9. it is still trapped in the barn under a literal ton of stuff.
  10. my SUV can absolutely handle 4x8s I don't even need straps, I just screw them down. I do miss my minivan
  11. it's even worse than you think because a flat tow adds 0 weight to the bumper to help plant the rear tires. and if the bar is at the wrong angle, under heavy braking it can push down on the rear and pick up the front of the tow rig.
  12. oh man, if I found those mangled wires and fixing them didn't fix the issue, I'd be bummed.
  13. he's still ironing out the flux capacitor integrated into the nuclear reactor
  14. man do I miss the guys that have passed on. guys that like to cause trouble quickly tire of CC since I don't allow the drama and that's what they seek.
  15. I can change the link in any post
  16. did you request it?
  17. got an approval note from Brett, so maybe now it works for everyone?
  18. was this a power we used to have? I don't remember.
  19. this is an on-going glitch in the matrix. we're hoping that finally getting the forum software updated will fix it.
  20. does anyone have a valid copy/link to whatever this was?
  21. safety aside, it's the constant fighting between the two rigs while moving down the road. it was never, ever smooth like pulling a trailer. braking, turning, going perfectly straight down the road. it just always sucked and made for a mentally draining ride. but your CJ weighs less, so maybe it'll be better? I guess it certainly wouldn't hurt to tool around town and find out. be sure to attempt a few panic stops. the angle of the tow bar can induce scary weirdness in the tow rig when hard braking occurs, especially if not going perfectly straight at the time. if you flat tow behind a rented box truck it'll be a bit less cash. at least that way the tow rig is massive.
  22. I'm never trying it again unless the tow rig weighs at least twice the towed rig. honestly I'd keep the tow bar on and drive the Jeep. I did 3k miles in my pos to get to moab.
  23. flat towing is nothing like pulling a trailer.
