love the rack and it should do what you want, but I can't help but think about carrying a ladder or long board and it won't clear the roof. maybe add adjustability into the next design? although that might make it weaker. I dunno. I'm sure there's a way to have the best of both worlds.
still just a tiny fraction of the power needed to move a truck around. you'd never get your money back from buying a selectable CAD. you can get 2wd LOW, which could be useful for certain things, but don't do it for saving money.
yup. we get some of that too. I edited out the usual mistakes for you. can't have guys thinking their truck has airbags, or the "Ram Longhorn Package", or the "electronically shifted t-case".
you might want to source a bar (even if it's just temporary) so you can get all the complicated measurements to get the curves close. maybe lay the bar down on a big piece of cardboard or plywood to trace it out? although I'm thinking old-school and I guess with a good enough image taken from far enough away to limit distortion, you could probably digitize it. depends on how computer-oriented this process will be.
