went on a short trip to pick up a bedliner and stopped by a 'yard that had a bed. the bed wasn't up to snuff for the price they wanted (had some weird rust on the bedrail), but I did drive away with these 2 items:
moved this over to tech.
all the usual "used car" things apply. does it drive right? does it idle right and not overheat? is there moisture (or worse) under the carpets? did they change the gears in the axles to accommodate those huge tires?
the rule of thumb is that drop pitmans should only be used if you're also dropping the trackbar mount too. otherwise it screws up the angles and brings bump-steer into the equation.
I know I've seen some sort of relocation brackets for the lower sway links, but can't think of the company at the moment because my google results are flooded with JK and JL relocation brackets.
the nos bedside is my favorite. over the years I've managed to find a nos flare, nos tail light, nos gas door, nos mudflap, and nos bumper cap for it. and that wheel was a spare from an XJ that was never used.
so what do you northerners do for a day like today anyway? for the 4th, your neighbors to the south seem to prefer risking eyes and fingers to hear loud noises and see bright flashes of light. drawn like moths we are...
