how many factory leafs in the leaf pack? 3+1 is standard. 4+1 is MT for 86. theoretically the dana 44 wasn't available yet though. the AMC-20 was the heavy duty axle for 86.

what was its performance before?

while the engine is runnning, the pump is on continuously. if the engine is off, the key turned to "run" should have the pump fire up, then shut off once pressure is reached. if the engine is off (and you've disconnected the starter for these testing purposes) and the key is turned to "Start", the pump should run continuously. if I remember it right.

FT should be a 2wd, I was just hoping to confirm since my book only does 87-90 and this is a 92.

I'm putting together a playlist specifically for the Durango's upped sound system. basically songs that need to be blasted to take advantage of the bass. some are obvious, others are less so. this one definitely made the cut. Live has a ton of good stuff.

skip that. looking up the VIN in my parts manual, the T indicates a 2wd.

that's something to look into for sure. that code could be a reused that used to mean 2wd but now applies to something else. technically it used to say "Electric shift on the fly" and I edited the electric out. please report back with what you find. I may need to re-edit a bunch of entries. lol

yes and no. the codes above are all yours, though the meanings may have changed over the years because chrysler reused codes. I've gone through and edited out the most common ones (for example, you don't have a "Mopar hood lock", the code JKBS likely applies to an internal hood release handle and chrysler reused it for later wranglers). the other issue is that there was apparently a flood in the records room (at least that's the story we hear) and not all of the codes got entered into chrysler's computers. if you look around at the various years, older years have way less codes pop up than newer years, when in reality they should have similar lengths of printout. errors may still remain (like the hood lock since I missed that).

time to get on that. fresh oil can make a world of difference. it takes a weird square metric bit to undo the plugs. I just took an old 3/8" ratchet extension and filed it down a hair so it'd fit. be sure to undo the fill first, then the drain. that way if you have issues with the fill plug, you aren't stranded with a trans with no oil.
