  1. Universal joints? Are you replacing them or trying to grease existing ones? If it's still lubed and not dried up and corroded, you can usually pull the end caps off with your fingers. Sounds like your u-joints are very corroded inside and need to be replaced.
  2. Not a single pic of the engine bay - that's strange. Maybe it doesn't have an engine..
  3. Did you do / check the ignition switch alignment procedure after you replaced the ignition switch? If the switch isn't aligned, that's a symptom (start but won’t stay running after I release the key). Also did you replace the ignition switch connector?
  4. I'm at about 2" - 2-1/2". Front coils are OME 930, front shocks are OME N35 (if you can find them), or OME 60046, rear shocks are OME 60032 or OME N30 (also hard to find).
  5. This is true. Unfortunately MJs were never exported to Australia so they don't sell Comanche specific suspension parts. However XJ front coils are the same, and for their shocks you have to look for the correct length and shock ends you need for an MJ. Everything I could possibly use for my rig is from OME. I sure wish they made rear leaf springs for us; I could never find an MJ leaf spring I could cross over and use...
  6. ^^ This. These threads will help with the ignition switch / connector: https://comancheclub.com/topic/49293-complete-shutdown-at-65mph/?tab=comments#comment-501275 http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/basic-maintenance-ignition-switch-1226376/
  7. I had a similar tube style back in -01 on mine:
  8. Yes, I did the same on my 91; it was an obsolete Bosch pump years ago, about an inch longer than the Bosch replacement (as seen in kryptonic's link) and fit the sender perfectly w/o spacers. It was obvious to me the HO sender was designed around this pump, or vice-versa. Just for grins I looked up the Delphi Automotive company history. The company was formed by General Motors originally in 1994 as Automotive Components Group (ACG), then renamed Delphi Automotive Systems in 1995. So Delphi is a fairly new outfit..
  9. The Mopar OEM pump is a Bosch.
  10. 1982-84 DJ (Jeep Dispatcher), last ones.
  11. I should have been more clear. 91-01 4.0 MJ/XJ's all carry p/n 4626215, with AB, AC, etc. suffixes added as the years go up. I was told by an old Mopar parts guy that as long as the basic p/n is the same, they will all fit the 91-01 4.0 XJ/MJ models. The AB, AC, etc. suffixes usually indicate a design change or mod, like an improved impeller. Also WJ's, ZJ's, YJ's etc. sometimes use different belt mounting configurations, so the offsets and even pump rotation may be different in some cases.
  12. I've seen them used for replacement rear springs on pickups equipped with rear coils for better load management when hauling, and of course for road racing on cars front and rear, and for off-roading. But never up front for improved handling on a mostly street truck. Do they exist from the factory as OEM equipment on some pickups?
  13. Street vehicle or mostly off-road? Can't see the point if it's a street rig.
  14. Looks like the 91-01 carried the same water pump p/n, but for the 90 and below Renix the p/n is different. What's the difference?
  15. Thanks for the reminder. I lost a rear wheel years on an MG I had; totaled it and nearly myself. For years after I made it a point to periodically check lug nut torque, then gradually slacked off. Will get back to doing it again ...
  16. Yep - missed the 4x4 in the description.
  17. That distributor looks just like the early HO (91-93) distributors. You have to pull it and break it down to parade rest to change the cam sync sensor. PITA....
  18. Excellent. Column shift AW4 with e-brake on the tranny tunnel? Or has the column shifter been disabled and a floor shifter installed?
  19. NavFed here too. Did you try to buy something from this company Bo? Or were you doing a smoke test?
  20. Post a picture that shows all the throttle body with cables if you can.
  21. I think it's the AW4 throttle valve cable.
  22. Then just continue to use your http://colorado4wheel.com/. I reference your wheel guide all the time. Steal pics occasionally too.
  23. I definitely wouldn't re-tap. Just p/u an ordinary M7x1.00x25mm non-shoulder metric bolt and use with a washer. The CPS would probably be centered close enough w/o the special 8mm shoulder.
