  1. What - are - you - driving? The only thing I got from your post is that it has an automatic transmission.
  2. Did you check for both B+ (12V) and B-(ground) on the injector connectors?

Did you get to work on Le Cars too?
  4. The AW4 output shaft changed in mid-1990 from 21 to 23 splines, so if auto, it matters to the tcase you use.
  5. A very tiny percentage of NOS parts in Renault boxes have anything to do with diesel parts. :P
  6. 87 and 88 LWB MJs could have either the 16 gal or the 23.5 gal fuel tanks. As long as both have the same size tank, the senders are interchangeable according to the parts manual.
  7. Daystar part number KJ02010BK, an option: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=964552&highlight=shackle+bushing
  8. Then crimp a terminal lug on the wire and ground properly with the sheet metal screw. How hard is that?
  9. What year/engine?? Check the power ground connection behind the left tail lamp. If good, use a wire to jumper across the white fuel pump ballast resistor on the left inner fender.
  10. ^^^ Si. If your goal is "to keep it as a weekly (not daily) driver for normal household, weekend warrior type jobs" that's all that's needed.
  11. A TON of work on this rig - gotta respect that. If closer I'd go look just to crawl around it. Interesting it's supposedly an 86, but appears to be a SWB. Or a clever bob job.
  12. :ack: :shake: http://sarasota.craigslist.org/cto/5022217963.html
  13. Yes, those are correct for the pre-91 Eliminators. 91-92 Elim decals looked like these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MJ-JEEP-COMANCHE-PICKUP-ELIMINATOR-STRIPES-DECALS-2-TONE-STICKERS-MULTI-LINE/381275986074?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131003132420%26meid%3D008799fdb5dd4e1e8818f79c0e761cd7%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D4%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D381255175136&rt=nc
  14. I used a ported and polished 7120 head with the older cast aluminum cover because I could bling it out a little bit. It's a direct bolt on except for the few little things Rockfrog mentioned above.
  15. Some folks over on the strokers forum are using them with good results so far. I'm thinking of pulling the plug on one too for my stroker. But for a N/A stock engine like yours, I'd adapt the 7120 casting head. With a little port polishing, it'll flow well and you'll never have cracking problems again. The TUPY head would be fine too if you can find one. And the new Clearwater heads have great reviews and are economical.

  17. Haven't checked it yet, will do next fill up. The steering wheel was a touch off-center so had the alignment checked yesterday. The alignment specs were spot-on but the drag link needed adjustment to center the wheel.
  18. Just keep it in reverse Jim. :rotfl2:
  19. The tires look good front and rear in the last pic. But with the updated front clip, it effectively eliminates the most obvious rubbing point, the lower front flares. If someone still made a decent 32x10.50x15 tire that's not strictly an offroad tire, I think they would sell a crap load of them. Thanks for the pics.
  20. Glad I saw this pic of 33s on a similarly lifted MJ as mine. Too much tire for me. I'll be sticking with the 31s. Thanks for posting mikekaz1.
  21. HERE. Very weird and grotesque. I have to say I'm not a fan.
