  1. You can certainly check CC.com's classifieds on a regular basis. Many of us cross-post what we discover for the benefit of our little community and new people like you. If you're searching for the proverbial "barn find", have ca$h on hand and be ready to pull the trigger. It won't be there tomorrow. Don't be discouraged though ... there's always another truck.
  2. You're doing some great work here and that's a great color choice IMO. Have fun! Following this thread with great interest.
  3. That's A LOT of short trips. Edgartown is on Martha's Vineyard (it's an island).
  4. You can find any number of these on eBay, free shipping for under $20. New knock-offs, NOS and used. All you need to know is the finish and the diameter of the opening in MM.

Converted decades ago and now regret.
  6. Please tell me more about the lowers and what you needed to make them work. Thanks!
  7. First, that's a handsome truck and you've really made some great choices. Don't mean to hijack this thread, but have a related question. Presently running 255/70/16's on my stock height truck. Very minimal rub turned to the stops. Are the WJ lowers the answer to run a taller, wider tire without the rub? I want to level the truck and further oversize the tires, but I don't necessarily want to "lift" it.
  8. Tires are BFG AT 31-10.50-15 in same as new cond and the wheels are good The tires was almost $850 with mount and balance Wheels have the 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern used on Jeep Wranglers TJ and YJ from 1987 to 2006 and is also used by many Cherokee Grand Cherokee Comanche and some Ford Ranger Explorer and more Asking $675 for all show contact info
  9. As a buyer, I look at FB, but as a seller I use CL and eBay to keep a sanitary distance from trolls.
  10. A dose of humanity. I don't want to be a buzzkill, rather I want to celebrate the human spirit and inspiration that keeps me humble and reminds me I'm blessed. I took this pic of my girlfriend, Michelle, doing her routine shopping at our local Super Walmart. That's her 93YO mother in an adult carriage. Her Mom has Parkinson's and onset dementia. In spite of the fact that Michelle works full time, she's her mothers primary caregiver, makes every Dr's appointment with her Mom, prepares meals, maintains hygiene, meds and a household. And I thought I was a tough guy. I love this woman and she puts up with me.
  11. I always used "offset" when speaking of wheels, but I guess "backspacing" is more common Jeep terminology. That said (and I'm not techie) ... the size tire you want to run will drive the backspacing and lift requirement. Less backspacing = more tire sticking outside of the wheel well. Lastly, many lift "kits" are not complete. In any event, you'll get what you pay for.
  12. Echo the previous posts. A $4-5K budget and patience will get you clean, straight truck to make your own. Might not include your cost to transport. You might start shopping here >> https://comancheclub.com/topic/58803-the-good-the-bad-and-the-rusty-061719-cl-list/ Best of luck!
  13. Reminiscent of Mad Max … That's the bumper you need on the day of "The Purge" of idiots. You know … The left lane troll and the like.
  14. That truck is squared away. Very nice.
  15. That's their "I don't really want to sell it" price. I've seen this truck listed before. Nice truck.
  16. I like your sense of adventure! Are all the "bits" under that tarp in the bed? Looks like the previous owner was on their way to a +97 conversion front & rear. They already modified the opening for the driver's side taillight. You have your work cut out for you. Have a blast!
  17. My girlfriend's sister recently totaled her daily driver (she's fine) which prompted me to do some car shopping. I saw a surprising number of Mini Coopers in the 05-2010 range for very short money. <100K miles, <$6K Why so cheap?
  18. It's still listed on eBay and the description omits MJ. Would make a nice addition to a plain Jane interior.
  19. You're certainly not wasting any time! Great stuff so far!
