  1. Front left outer tie-rod means where it connects next to the drivers wheel. Left front inner tie-rod is the other end where it connects to the drag link. Then the drag link will connect near the passenger wheel and the other end of the draglink will connect up to the pitman arm. Hope that helps.
  2. I think the jack russels would make a good dog for the kids because they have lots of energy. The only dog I have ever owned on my own was an american staffordshire terrier (pit bull) and she was great with my daughter. I also like those wiemeraner (sp?) dogs and would consider one of them if i got another dog. Adopting is a great idea too, and like was already said, mutts sometimes make the best pets
  3. Did you see this: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15316
  4. Thats sounds similar to something that I just found. I just bought a 94 XJ and while trying to figure out why my driver side highbeam doesnt work I noticed that if I pull on the headlight switch the radio turns on. If I dim the dash lights by turning the light knob the radio shuts off; even if I am driving. I wonder if the PO of your truck did something similar to mine and tapped into the light switch for power somehow. You should see if the radio comes on by turning the lights on with the truck off.

  7. If you hover your mouse over a link it should tell you on the bottom of your browser where it goes. It didnt have idiot lights, it just had the 5 gauge cluster w/out the tach.
  8. I was thinking that since it seems difficult to figure out rear shock length when adding a lift that maybe a temporary sticky where everyone could list this: Size of lift Distance from center of wheel to fleer (since all lifts don't give exactly what is stated) Shock used (with part# if possible) length of shock collapsed and extended spring over or under (since SOA may have perches in a different place) bumpstop adjustments made After the info is gathered it can maybe moved to the DIY forum

  15. Will it stay running if you hold the key forward to the START position? If it does, but stalls when you release the key back to the RUN position then I had the exact same problem with my 89. I tried replacing ignition switch but didnt help. The problem turned out to be a bad wire up near the battery next to the fusible link. Not sure exactly which wire because I eventually brought it to an electrical shop and had them find it. Someone else on here had the same issue and it ended being the ignition relay. Try the relay first; you can swirch one of the other ones in. They are in the powerdistribution center under the hood on my 89, not sure if its the same on the HOs
  16. As long as it is in 2wd I don't think you need to stop driving it till you fix it, since the front DS won't spin.
  17. I just plugged the extra line up with a screw.
  18. yep. you can definately tell the load sensing valve was disconnected and reconnected at some point. the bar should be more at a 9 oclock position. it looks to be at about 7 oclock in the pic. that means either the dif cover was off or the axle had been swapped

  22. Your rear end is either a d35 or a d44. Most likely a d35. Look here to see which: http://coloradok5.com/axleguide.shtml here's a great fix for the lights. I did this to mine: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3490 Cherokees up to 96 are the same from the cab forward for parts.

  25. Like said, I'm prettyy sure there is a spring/coil that you have to take out of the old hose and put in the new one. I had to go thru the trash to find the old hose to get the coil out of it. I thought it was only the lower hose that needed the coil tho.
