  1. I was wondering how many people are like me and just throw junk on the floor until it reaches seat level and how many people keep their vehicles clean. Of course having 3 kids doesnt help any.
  2. I just bought new tranny cooler lines, they run from the tranny to the quick connect. But isnt there another short line that runs from the quick connect to the upper radiator hole? Anyone have a part # Also, When looking up parts on napa it lists 2 auto trannys for a 94XJ. The AW4 and a Toyota A340H. Was that a tranny used in XJs?
  3. Thanks, JT. It appears you may have taken over my role as "link finder"
  4. I am trying to find the thread where someone cut out there rusted rockers and put in some steel tube like 2"x6" or something. Anyone know where it is?
  5. It sounds like you have a peugeot tranny from the description of the mount. Teamcherokee.com has them but they are expensive
  6. Has anyone here actually crossed off all items on their "lists"? For each job done, I add two more. Jeez! If you saw the piles of parts in my basement and garage you'd know the answer to that. And i just picked up an XJ too. :shake:
  7. I didnt think of checking the bottom. I will look at that option when i get home.
  8. $6.85 at rockauto.com and fast shipping too.
  9. Do you think some JB Weld would work? I have borrowed a welder to learn to weld so I def don't trust myself to go that route yet. I would probally end up melting the distributor.
  10. You can NEVER have too much cow bell. Shelby, I like the interior the new way. If you decide to go with the darker colors tho, I have a 97+ console that is the very dark grey (almost black) that you can have for $10 plus shipping
  11. Thanks Bob. Has anyone tried something like that grabbit thing to remove stripped screws. Does it work?
  12. Anyone know of an easy way or a cheap tool to remove rusted out screws. I need to get the dist cap off and the screws are rusted thru. I also have a busted headlight bezel with some screws snapped off.
  13. Its called a split ring. That might help you when asking for the tool.
  14. Yes, the napa gold filters are made by wix
  15. How can you be thinking of things like this in a crisis. Just kidding. Hope you and you family stay safe.
  16. I think my sig gives my opinion. I always laugh when I hear somone say "maybe its not her fault shes fat. Maybe she has a problem". Yes, its called to many calories.
  17. Did you try putting the old cluster back in and see if it works? Then you'll atleast know if its a problem with the cluster or maybe wiring. It could also be that the plugs werent in all the way and came loose.
  18. Pat, My speedo doesnt work but my odometer does. Even the trip counter works. I think I messed something up when I took it apart to switch the odom to the correct mileage.
  19. Don, Let us know how they fit when you get them. These, along with replacing those rubber strips on the A pillar might save the bottoms of my doors.
  20. I thought this was gonna be a post about sal and richard from howard stern. Its hilarious when they do the jack and rod show.
  21. Good thing you came back when you did, Pete was about to change your status back to newbie. I think there is a FSM file in the DIY section that taz loaded. It should have the step by step. Here you go: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12517
  22. This is actually on my 94XJ, but since it is the same engine (4.0) as the MJ so I figured it would go in tech. Anyway, Sometimes when I press the throttle it makes a noise almost like when an electric antenna is going down. I'm thinking possibly a relay or something?
  23. :agree: I would definately start with the starter first then. It sounds like you have found the problem.
  24. the leak could be coming from the valve cover, maybe the o-ring on the oil filter adapter, or maybe even the rear main or the oil pan gasket.
