  1. When adding lift to your jeep which need to be lengthened first, the upper cotrol arms or the lowers? At about what height do you need to go from stock to adjustable? for uppers and lowers ?
  2. Would putting a little higher lift in back help with the driveshaft angle? Like 4" leafs with a 3.5" lift up front? Does higher in the back affect braking or steering?
  3. I used to collect starting line up figures but have since sold them off (sorry Pete, no pics). I used to work at hasbro so i had a pretty extensive collection.
  4. The add says heat only works on defrost. Thats a sign that black thing behind the bumper was damaged i believe. So it may have been in an accident.
  5. can't you just put the overflow bottle where the old pressore bottle was? Did you change out the heater control too?
  6. This happened before i got the truck so I can't do anything with the service place. I will try the donut gaskets and the pipe tape. If they don't work I will go with the new pan.
  7. The problem is every time i try something else it costs me 6 quarts of oil :mad: I will check those out thanks. The plug I used this time has a bigger(wider) top and it didnt help

  9. I have an oil leak around the drain plug ever since the service guy decided to use an air gun to put the plug back in. I tried putting a new plug in and it is still leaking. Can I get some high temp RV sealant and put it around the plug once its in and tight? Because the plug is already in and tight the sealant shouldnt get into the oil pan.

I had to buy a drain pan to change my oil so instead of buying the nice 10 quart covered one i decide to save 5 bucks and buy the cheap one which only holds about 5 quarts apparently(you can see where this is going). First the plug pops out and oil shoots past the pan. Is it just me or does this happen to everyone? As i see the pan filling i remember that the truck has more oil than the pan can hold!! So I put the plug back in and go to pour the oil in a jug but because its the cheapie it pours fast and knocks the funnel over pouring oil all over my sneakers. Then while under the truck i realize my radiator is rotted away. some places have none of the fins or whatever you call the thin stuff in the middle of the radiator. I'm talking like 8 rows about 7 inches long in different plsaces. while i am changing it i assume i will change to the open system. whats the best place for the 3 core conversion radiator? thanks
  11. Is it possible to just buy the little rubber grommet that holds the hose to the valve cover? or do I need to buy the whole piece?
  12. I have an 89 MJ, was moving my truck last night on some ice. My friend was out side and said when my back tires spun on the ice my front wheels didnt move. The day brfore when i used it it felt like it started working (better traction in the snow). Is there an easy way to tell if its working? Maybe see if front drive shaft is spinning, or could front be spinning and 4WD still not working? Thanks

  14. This is my first 4wd. I have an 89 MJ. Manual says to shift into 4H anytime below 35MPH. Can I shift into 4WD if the truck is stopped, like when I walk out in the morning and there is 10 inches of snow in my driveway? Should I be stopped or driving a certain speed to switch back into 2WD? Is it bad to drive on the highway in 4H?

  18. Already tried the balast resistor. That would be way to simple for my luck. Tried the ignition switch, it has a new firing module, and the key cylinder was replaced a while back. The battery was replaced before the truck was driven to me from Florida a couple weeks ago. So the wire behind the battery seems like it could be the problem. I actually brought it to a mechanic and he tested the cps and checked the comp too. Any idea which wire it might be?
  19. I have an 89 MJ. It stalls when I release the key back to run. If hold the key forward it will stay running until i release key. Am almost positive it is a bad wire. Someone posted me saying they had same problem and it was a bad wire next to fusible link behind the battery. Anyone have any idea on which wire or wires i should start with. Thanks.
