    Spicer 5-760x

ok4wd.com carries spicer and has good prices. If they don't have it on the list call and ask. They didnt list the 260X and when i called they had them and he even reduced the price (which were already cheaper than other places) after i talked to him for a few minutes
  3. The bottom is pretty rotted out. I would have to pay to have it emptied by a private company and besides nowhere to put it where i am. It has a company name and # on the side so i will call them and tell them to come get it.
  4. I know this is an XJ question but when i put them in the pub they get moved here so.... I tried to put a clock in my 94XJ country ed. (if that makes a difference) and couldnt find the wiring (but the PO had messed w/ the wiring). I posted on jeepforum and was told that 91 was the last year for the clock and that wiring isnt even there in my 94. Can anyone with a 92+ XJ confirm this? Gojeeps website has a part# for a 94-96 clock but no pic. This is the part# he lists: 56006862
  5. its nice for sending someone a pm.
  6. I have also heard that the XJ Country edition also has the same bigger tierod as the ZJ. After looking at the tierod on my 94 XJ Country and comparing to my 89 MJ this appears to be true.
  7. wheres the pics of the MJ pulling it out?
  8. Anyone know what the price of scrap is? Someone put an old dumpster (one of the smaller ones) at my work. Is it worth it to bring it to the scrap yard? I'm thinking i can use a cherry picker to get it into my truck. But if I'm only gonna get a few bucks its not worth it. Plus I will be getting paid from my job for the time it takes.
  9. I have also HEARD of putting a bottle jack under the end of the monkey wrench and using the jack to get the required pressure to start it turning.
  10. What happened to the little thing showing if someone was online or offline? They have disappeared on me :hmm:
  11. You will have to remove the SUA perches from the axle you want to put in. Then have perches and shock mounts welded back on in the correct position. The axle you want to put in has to have the same gear ratio as the one you are taking out because it has to match the gear ratio in the front axle (ASSuming the jeep is 4WD).
  12. The clock actually runs on 2 fuses, if either is blown it won't work. I believe one is the dome and the other is the accessory. When I put in the under dash lights it started blowing one of the fuses, I had to use a 15 amp to keep it from blowing. If you have to do this don't go above a 15. Not sure if this helps you or not
  13. Would I be better off using the recommended 75W90 or using a synthetic 75W140? Does anybody have a pic of the rear gears with a limited slip? so I will be able to tell if it has it when I open the cover? if not, I will add the friction modifier to be safe.
  14. 3 and 5 seem like a cheap option until 6 is doable. I believe you can get a yolk out of a YJ that is longer, not sure what years. Probally only be a few bucks at the JY.
  15. That was 69 Charger R/T, the body style is very similar tho. Yes we need some pics
  16. What is the recommended gear oil for an 8.25? Did they come with limited slip? Do I need to add friction modifier? It is a 94 Country edition
  17. If it runs fine until it warms up it could be the O2 sensor. It will run on a set of presets until it warms up then it will use the info from the O2 sensor, if the O2 sensor is bad it could be causing it to run rich. Is that plug up near the radiator? It looks like the plug for the elec fan, if you don't have AC then you won't have the fan.
  18. Where are you at? You should put it in your profile
  19. teamcherokee, but they are $$$$$
  20. Have never done an engine yet. would be much more careful then.
  21. Yes, eagle, it was. It is under a new owner now. Alot of the people are the same but there is a new owner. That was surprised me too, that he didnt just say ill look into it.
  22. Is it just me? It seems everytime I do a job I always have atleast one screw or nut left over when I'm done :hmm: :wrench:
  23. I'm surprised he was so reluctant and stand-offish. They are near me and I buy alot of parts from them, I can pick up which means no shipping. I get alot of good deals. last week I got an almost new wheel hub (not even any surface rust) for the xj for $15, a gauge cluster for $17, a reel light for $1.75, two nice fenders with flares for $6.75, and a 97+ console for $1.25 (which i sold to shelby for $5).
  24. Just for reference, the metal tabs are actually a type of disconnect; so you don't need to use the plastic qiuck-connect piece in th ends near the radiator.
