Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. ordered front CV shaft assembly to fix my front axle... Keeeeeeept on sprayin PB blaster on diff. covers, buying a better torq bit tool cause mine suuucks. looking at RE lift kit components to find out I need $855.70
  2. Damn McGuyver. What happens if the jar breaks?? it not gon smell too good that's for sure. very nice though, real creative you seem to have taken every aspect into account (being able to detatch/refill with it)
  3. $855.70 for everything from RE not including drop brackets, only adj. control arms, also not including sway bar links/disconnects holy guacamole, I might as well save up the extra $300 and buy the whole damn lift kit all complete
  4. http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Jeep/MJ/P ... art=RE1345 again, noob question but these are for the front right? :dunno: So if I have the SOA in the rear, would it do me good to get these? also what would I have to modify in order to stick these in there like longer shocks or anything? Thanks in advance
  5. holy poo I was thinking rubicon edition thanks a bunch. and OME would have confused me with OEM. hathank you once again. I may post up another question in this thread after I do some looking
  6. uhhh I was just wondering what everyone is talking about when they say they got the "RE" lift or something?... yeah, thanks haha (I'm new at this, don't make fun)
  7. I've got the same luxury w/ 67 acres of heavily wooded land with logging trails from having a skidder up in there, I just don't have the working rig to go out and play yet :fs1: getting there though, only a matter of time... and work... and money... and finding parts... ahh the life of owning a Jeep good luck on the fender flares
  8. continued spraying PB blaster on the rear diff. cover
  9. I walked around and hammered everywhere I saw rust on the body... I don't have a body on my truck anymo :brows:
  10. That's sweet man, sounds like you're living the life. and I was just giving you a hard time, I'm jealous and sick of living winters in Maine and I've only done it for 19 years.
  11.
  12. some people get jealous when they see all the young pups doing stuff they dreamed of doing at our age. they just can't stand seeing people under a certain age being able to do what they have worked their whole life for. I think this was a good off-topic topic. If you don't care about it, how come you posted like 3 times in it? just leave it alone if you don't like it.
  13. I'm 6(4+8)-52 Remember PEMDAS now and you should get 20
  14. There has been some debate as to what this front axle came from, first I was told XJ then I was told those have U joints, not CV. So it switched to maybe it came out of a ZJ but its from an '86 and ZJ's didn't come out till like what '92 or something... so I am almost positive now that it is from an early wagoneer. honestly it may not even be the spider gears, could be something else. the Jeep just doesn't go anywhere. it runs and everything, just doesn't move. I'm just swapping the rear axle out to solve it because I want to know how to do it for when I upgrade to a 44 (when I find one in my area) and also because I figure whatever IS broken (whether it be the spider gears or not) it will get fixed by just taking the whole rear axle out and putting a new one in
  15. RAIN!!?? get a tarp man, try working outside in FREEZING rain, now that's a fun experience, you can barely open your eyes because they are getting impaled by chunks of ice, laying in a pile of snow that is slowly soaking into your clothes so when you get up you weigh an extra 80 pounds and then try changing out of the clothes in a 2 story house with a little woodstove in the bottom half for a heat source... good times, good times. alrighty then now that that is out of my system, YOU HAVE A SWEET MJ. And I also think it is sweet that you are a writer for 4x4, how did you land this job exactly? Is there some kind of crazy networking story where a friend knew a friend or did you go apply for it or something? Would be interesting to know thanks, and great build
