Pat, you crack me up, I haven't quite figured you out yet LOL. So, was last year a fluke or something? One game from the Super Bowl? I guess it's a generational thing. You're young enough to want all the young guys playing. As a Wisco boy, I wouldn't doubt for a second that he's almost God-like (no offense to anyone) to you just like everybody else up there. Hell, he is to me and I'm a lifelong Stillers fan! But since I know you are only 20 (21 soon right?), let me just say that THE MAN was already pulling games out of his a$$ for you cheeseheads while you were still crapping on yourself and laughing about it. :laughin: Like I said, last year was no fluke. Your coach has established himself with the team, the young guys stepped up, and I really don't get how you can say his receivers don't work well with him. I think he and Donald Driver could throw and catch with each other in their sleep! And Jennings established himself as the deep threat needed so Driver could be your Hines Ward and pick up first downs over the middle. Defense was strong, looks like they found a running back too. So, I think he had 1-2 more good years in him if he wanted. But, he absolutely went out on top, completely on his terms. I think one of the only reasons he kept coming back was not so much to prove the critics wrong, but to prove to himself he could still lead the team. The other reason I think is because he has to be one of the top five most competitive people I've ever seen, and it was eating him alive to retire after crappy seasons. But I think today he realized he could now walk away without asking "what if I played one more year", that this past year buried any competitive demons of the previous 5 yrs. I would go so far as to say that the Giants winning the Super Bowl may have helped him make the decision because the Pack was a couple of plays away from beating the hottest team in the league and the team that shut down the Patriots express. And he knows that getting to, and winning, the Super Bowl is not only the product of a great season but a little luck is always needed too. He knows he did his part for the great season, and that the other part he has no control over. Oh, and mark my words, within 5yrs, his story will be made in to one of the best "feel good" sports movies of all time. :cheers:

I really wanted to avoid getting in to all the other stuff, LCAs, etc etc. I want to do this on the cheap. Again, not a DD, would never do much wheelin other than some trail running and a little muddin. Just like lift opinions, I've seen a million different views on if you need LCAs with only 3" of lift. Expand on your thoughts please..........

did you bench test the JY motor to make sure it's good? just throwing anything out there, sometimes the simplest things are the ones we forget to do.

Well, rear lift questions are about as confusing as politics. So many opinions on AAL's. I wouldn't mind it being a little stiff because I want increased payload capacity and mine is not a DD. What I've been exploring lately is finding a set of Big Ton packs, as Hornbrod has said he got a full 3" lift out of his, and they were OE arch etc., i.e. not "lift springs". That would address both of my desires of 2-3" of lift AND increased payload and probably even ride better than an AAL, because I would think logically the BT spring packs would be rated for heavier loads than std. packs w/AAL. If the BT packs would not give me all I wanted for lift, I could throw Chevy shackles on. I think I've found a set of BT packs for $100 from a yard. I don't know why, I just have this anal desire to have the factory BT packs. The Rough Country AALs are only $53 delivered from JC Whitney. And I know the BT packs may be worn out and have a fair amount of sag, but I guess I'm willing to take that risk because even if they are in great shape eventually I have it in my head they'd have to be replaced and I would just get a new set like Hornbrod's or from Hell Creek. So all that crap being said, what's your opinion? I have been planning on posting this question on the Pub as "Lift Thread #12,683" but thought since we were on the subject I'd converse with you first. Oh yeah, my front will be handled by ZJ V8 coils and a spacer, plus WJ LCAs, all from mjeff87.

Brown paper bags squish pretty flat too, but it doesn't keep my brewskie cold and doesn't look as cool :brows:

so you've been happy with it as AAL's go? still using stock shackles?

Pat, what are you running for lift in the rear? I've probably seen it posted somewhere else but can't remember. Reason I'm asking, I see 5 leafs back there so I was curious if you have the Big Ton pkg or swapped them in, or if you just have an AAL.

EXACTLY what I was thinking but went with the collapsable vote since I got a ka-zillion coozies in the house, but a specific one for the rig would be cool. in between the seat and console, over the visor or in the glove box, i'll be ready to go at beer:30pm :beerhead: I know it's always cheaper and easier to just do one style, but I'd take one of each for sure if that becomes a possibility.

You know what might be a cool idea? If you could somehow color match the stickers with the letters "MJ" to put under the end of the stripes. Definitely would be a one of a kind look. :dunno:

Super nice SuperWade! I actually think the stripes look better now for some reason. I guess I'm just not a black rim fan.
