Great, you have the title now! I think it is worth the money, but I love CJ's :brows: . As much as this pains me to say, you can get a YJ front clip to work on the CJ. Not sure if this was the "wrangler" your wife is looking for? Good luck on the project :cheers:

I will pull the distrutor this weekend and check. It is running great now, so I hope I caught it before any damage. Thanks for the suggestions. I will check it over when I remove the distributor. It look original from top of the engine bay :brows: . I am restoring/modifying my CJ7 now, so I know what it is like to be stranded close to home :clapping: . :cheers:

Leaving work yesterday I could have sworn someone shot at me. I jumped out and pop open the hood to look around. It was idling fine, but I noticed the cap and wires were moving. Turned off the motor and checked out the distributor. The bolt holding it down was over 1/4 inch unthreaded. Anything that I should be worried about? Could I have damaged anything? I never had a hint of a problem before this :nuts: . I tightened it back down and drove home without a problem. Seems fine today too. Thanks, Rich

I did not have the correct tool to remove the plugs, so I improvised. I made the tool by modifying a cheap hex wrench. I used a 3/8 Hex Wrench I had lying around and ground down two apposing sides to remove drain plug ->

Major congrats on building your own. They look large enough for me to sleep on ~ and I believe they could surely support my rapidly approaching 300 lbs frame :brows: . How bad was it with the old valve cover? Willy Willy, I have not been paying attention to it :oops: . I forgot about checking it until your reply. I did not have that much blow by with the old VC. I think I may have bigger problems now, like a blown rear main seal? Oil is everywhere. I did find a bit of oil on the filter, but it may be too early to tell since I have not been up on it. I am going to monitor it now and I will get back to you. - Rich

I am still upset that I have never seen it advertised that there is a problem with wiper arm interference. I don't know if the situation is the same with your hood Don, but the gap in between the hood and the front header is a bit more than I would like. I am over it now, but it did kind of bug me in the beginning. I will have to start thinking about that one for you. No promises on that one. :cheers:
