Did I Blow Out My Slave Cylinder?
Drahcir495 replied to Drahcir495's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That was fine , thanks. I have the new AX15 bolted up to the 231 and ready to go in. The BA10 looks like it could go another 100k. The clutch & pressure plate look to be in great shape too. I am still going to put a new clutch in though. I have taken a ton of pictures to add to my build-up page when I get it back together. -
Did I Blow Out My Slave Cylinder?
Drahcir495 replied to Drahcir495's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Uggh - sounds like it is gone. Went to try to bleed the lines at the bellhousing and they are all flopping around. Thank you all for your input  . I am starting my AX15 swap today! -
The Comanche has been down for a week due to another over heating problem. I back flushed the radiator and some how unblocked the new radiator. I got back into the truck to park it in the garage and the clutch pedal went limp. Reservoir still has fluid in it. Did I blow out the internal slave cylinder? BA10 with internal slave - FYI.

I hope you got it going? I also like the dark green color  -
Looking good! How about a picture with those refurbished wheels back on - they came out nice

Finally found one...Now it has a new floor.

Sweet shifter knob too . -
I second CaffeineSam on the floor repair - a lot of members have had to replace the floors. There was a post a few weeks back on a few companies that sold replacement floor panels too - I am on lunch right now, so I do not have the time to find it for you right now. The MJ looks like an intimidating project with the front off and the hood open like that, but it looks like a good truck  . Welcome to the club and be sure to post a ton of progress pictures. - Rich

holy crap, that NEEDS to be on a tee shirt.... i would so put that on my daughter.... I stole it from David Letterman

I only had it on for a day or so. I want to see how it looks with the topper on :dunno: , but I am sure I will ony use it when I take it on a trip offroad. I had a real hard time getting the oil pan off to get to the RMS. It went on easy enough. I don't believe I could ever get it done in two hours though

And the bra. I am next in line for the bra if Geonovast backs out  JK - Rich

Sweet little cupcake ~ baked by the Devil

I had the topper painted a few months ago -> and added a 3rd brake light to it -> I have finally got in the aluminum pipe for the topper rack. I just need to get some time to head down to the shop and bend it up. I will post up progress pictures as soon as I can get on that. I don't think I ever said who made the topper :dunno: - it's made by ASTRO MFG. I have also been picking up the essentials for my attempt at automotive painting. After a few hours of research I decided on a HVLP paint gun kit made by Astro Pneumatic-> It included a 1.7mm (blue one) primer gun and a 1.3mm base coat/clear coat gun. I am really excited about trying this out on my own. I am going to paint my CJ7 first. Not much to it, so it should be perfect to start off on.

 Does it have a factory rear SOA set-up? Oooh, is it a diesel too?????
-
It is almost impossible to get out of a community college parking lot down here without an ATV winch & chrome accessories :smart:
-
The frame is different than my CJ7. It also has the SOA in rear. :dunno: I will ask the owner if I get a chance.
-
I was heading into class today and I saw this Jeep in the parking lot. Thought I would share my cell phone quality shot -> I believe it is a CJ10a with the rear section ofCJ7 boxed in to make a small bed.

:huh???: I disagree :waving: . I just picked up one of these up too Beaterjeep - for a future project.

Want it Done Right - Do it Yourself ~ Painting
Drahcir495 replied to Drahcir495's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
You guys inspire me - looks darn good Backroads  . I am going to watch the video and do my home work before giving this a try. But with several jeeps to paint, I should be able to get a nice finish by the 3rd  -
Want it Done Right - Do it Yourself ~ Painting
Drahcir495 replied to Drahcir495's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That is good to know, because the humidity is a problem here in Florida. I don't think I will have to worry about needing the forced heat :D . Thank you. Zero experience - but I am going to give it a try. Not a lot of body work to be done on the truck, so it is not that. Great starting advice and I appreciate the input  I hope I don't let you down :ack: Wow. I can't tell from the picture  Great! I plan on taking my time. I will probably hit a few of you up for some help as I go. I was willing to pay him 1500, but trying to work another $$$ out of me at the end is wrong. Any impressions on the ProSpray brand paints?
