  1. Before I go the NAJA forum, I was hoping someone knows if the interior pieces from an 1990 2door fit in an 1993 2 door XJ? Looking at getting another two door that runs and swapping everything that works into it? Also looking at another MJ
  2. The owner of the Cherokee says he may be keeping it. I may have to buy the MJ or get a motorcycle - choices 😬
  3. I got it in and it does have a bit of clearance but will the bolt that holds the shifter in is too long? I forgot, it’s been 12+ years since I took it apart.
  4. Definitely a T19 with synchronized first gear. It took me a while to find one. That’s not good news. I sold the other one because it had two. What to do now?
  5. I can’t get my Dana 300 Transfercase to mount up to my T19 transmission. This is a different xfercase and the other one went in no problem - this is hitting the side of the transmission ->
  6. Thank you. That’s what I was not wanting to hear but I figured that. This is making my decision harder. I am looking at a 2 door XJ with a manual transmission or a 2wd Comanche with everything to make it manual 4x4.
  7. Question - can you put a transfercase on a two wheel drive ax15 manual transmission? Or do you need an output that can mate up to a 2wd?
  8. Picked up this for the Scrambler
  9. The final drivetrain piece is in my possession. It’s been so long since I’ve worked on a CJ I’m not sure it’s called a D300 Transfercase. If I can get so free time here, it probably won’t be long until it’s running. The engine has been sitting for 25+ years. I’ve been manually turning it over, but it seems good
  10. Nope still have it. I need to clean up the inside so I can take pictures. I keep it immaculate but not much I can do after sitting in a gravel parking lot. Have no idea how it has so much dust in it lol.
  11. This broke apart way too easy. Once again I think this could solve my issue
  12. I have a timeline for getting the Comanche home. My AAA renewal is in September. I will have another 200 mile tow at that time. It will be $300 out of pocket but much cheaper than towing it home with the explorer (gas, time, U-haul tow dolly, etc.). So, in about 5 months I will be having it towed. Seems like forever though.
  13. I forgot about pictures. Will post them soon
  14. For Sale an 1990 Two Door Jeep Cherokee (XJ) 4x4 Laredo need to get pictures first
  15. I can’t keep ithe Cherokee running. Thousands of dollars to try and get it running and it still won’t run. I switched out the computer and ran but died after 10 miles and had to have towed for the 3rd time. Starts a runs for moment and dies. Like it’s out of gas. I’ve replaced everything I could but could not fix the problem. Time to stop the bleeding. I’m going to put it up in the classified section and hope someone will figure out the problem. I would like to trade for another Comanche that runs and maybe some cash to even it out. My dream XJ turned out to be my biggest nightmare
  16. It never fails. I get the Jeep washed and it starts to rain -> After 2.5 years sitting in a dusty parking lot, it needs a lot of attention inside. Dust everywhere. I have no idea how. Things are not working - radio, flashers and probably a few other things
  17. Reinstall the fuel pump and I think it’s all good. Had to buy a new lock ring but it went on easily with the included Oring. Going to find an app that will let me calculate mpg. I may put in a new O2 sensor but will see. The explorer needs a lot of work to the tune of $3,800 . I need something reliable for now
  18. Just put in a new fuel pump into the Cherokee and the gauge says empty. Filled it up and now reads empty on a full tank. How do I fix it?
  19. Had a really hard time getting the new fuel pump in. I forgot to put the o ring on before I put the pump in. While taking it back off the pickup screen fell into the tank. My arm was too big to reach in to get it. Luckily I had the boy with me and he was able to get to it. Put it back in and I could not get it in far enough to get it far enough in to get the lock ring on. It didn’t have a new one in the box like the other ones I’ve put in, so the old one had to go on. Did not fit well at all but it looks like it’s in enough to hold it. The Jeep gauge now says empty and I fill it up with gas. The guy said he filled it up and charged me. Apparently the old pump is good. The old pump may have been good . It running now.
  20. Picked up the fuel pump. Putting it in hopefully while my son it at school
