Everything was supposed to be new on the fuel parts? I paid a lot of money to get it right - and 3 years. Put fuel in the TB and it started right up. I don’t think it was changed. Got a new one coming in tomorrow. Bringing the temp sensor back then. Wish me luck

The mechanic was saying there are two? The one in the radiator talks to the computer? I have the fan wired to stay on. Not questioning you just desperate to finally fix it. Someone told me it sounds like a fuel pump but it’s new

Spent a lot of money on the jeep and it died 2 miles from home the first time driving it. Won’t stay running. Mechanic said it could be the coolant sensor in the radiator.

Woo woo It’s here! It is in cosmetically bad shape. Needs to be cleaned and detailed. But considering it’s been parked in a dirt paved parking lot, it ain’t that bad.

As of yesterday I’m officially divorced . I’m only posting this because it’s the only way I will remember the date .

Going to put a new oil pump in the XJ. Should I get a high volume pump? And what brand do you recommend?

XJ is hopefully getting driven home by me the 21st or the 28th.

I am sorry for loss. Lost my mom 2 years ago and I still find myself saying mom is going to love this only to realize she is not here to tell it too.

Its done. I’m still trying to get them both home. I had the sagging door fixed. I had to get a new gas tank as mine was rusted. New fuel pump. Hopefully new gas filter. New speedo cable. The air conditioner is leaking. It shoots cool but only from the defrost vents. I will hopefully get it back soon. I couldn’t find a car rental place that would give me a one way ticket. I called them all.

I realize now that I don't have to explain why the XJ should be kept. That will surely relieve the anxiety of having to hear "its time get rid of that money pit - it is unreliable!) Now I can have a backup Jeep in the queue . Just another incriminating photo from a good friend ->

My XJ should be done by next week. I’m going to rent a car and go get it. I have 200 milage tow through AAA. I just have to make it for 30 miles and then would be within the 200 mile range, but I hope it will make it the rest of the way 🤞

Made progress - I used this stuff to seal the taillight cover back on the housing (I can't recall the stuff I used), but I hopefully can remember what is called and update this post -> Strip-calk? And the results-> TBC

I will be putting emergency flashers in my Jeep. They are ETD (Extreme Tactical Dynamics). I drilled out 1” holes into the tail lights to secure the strobe into the taillights. I have it in my Cherokee, as my son loves them. Getting started ->

I’m probably getting the XJ back in a few weeks. The guy just fixed my door sagging issue. The fuel tank and fuel pump will both have to be replaced. Key locks are also in. Picked up a new battery for it. Probably shouldn’t say anything about getting it home lol no telling if he is going to switch to another project.
