eaglescout526 Posted October 11, 2023 Author Posted October 11, 2023 Looks like I might be working at a ford dealer.
eaglescout526 Posted October 11, 2023 Author Posted October 11, 2023 They, being both the hiring manager and the head of receiving both loved me and the amount of time and knowledge I have put in at Dodge. So yeah here is hoping!
Ωhm Posted October 11, 2023 Posted October 11, 2023 Parts are parts. Just need to learn the 'means to the madness' with the Ford part numbers. Should come easy for you.
eaglescout526 Posted October 11, 2023 Author Posted October 11, 2023 Thanks Carter Ωhm, yeah I hit a point where I need a job and said well I’ll endure the madness that is fomoco part numbers. I got kinda lucky by walking in, filling out an application and interviewed in one shot.
eaglescout526 Posted October 13, 2023 Author Posted October 13, 2023 Thanks guys. I passed my background checks, so its just a matter of getting a call at this point.
boxyjeep Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Congrats! Make sure to drive your MJ to work the first day so that it can properly mark it's territory in the parking lot :-)

I might be the only vintage Jeep guy at ford but we will see.
FrankTheDog Posted October 16, 2023 Posted October 16, 2023 Great news! My wrangler really made a big show of marking it’s territory at work. Oil sending unit popped 3/4 of a mile from work. Big cloud of smoke and a trail all the way to my parking spot.

eaglescout526 Posted October 16, 2023 Author Posted October 16, 2023 Thanks guys! I am nervous about tomorrow. Not so much on the job but just because it will be a new place.
FrankTheDog Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Need to change the title to Beginning of a new era!

89 MJ Posted October 17, 2023 Posted October 17, 2023 Let's hear how the first day went when you're done!
eaglescout526 Posted October 18, 2023 Author Posted October 18, 2023 So the first day went pretty well. I kicked some butt and fell back into what was my groove. Its not Mopar and there is some Mopar parts around their warehouse that serve as gentle reminders. All in all, it was a good day.
