I remember this one. SoCal wanted the rollbar for it. Honestly it looks like a good candidate for restoration. Plus its got black interior and a full early style cluster.

Yes it did, 87 and prior trucks. I sold a NOS black vinyl bench seat bottom cover to another member earlier this year.

a factory black bench will not have headrests. :(   BUT you can get a late model bench and have it recovered in black. :D  chances are any bench you find will need recovering anyways.  I recommend cloth.  :L:

But cloth absorbs water when you leave the windows down in the rain. Ask me how I know.

minus 500 because the grill is upside down, necessary to flip entire truck to correct issue

Looks like a well optioned truck tho

Black interiors were an AMC-only thing, so 86 and 87 only.  Mine was an 87 with a black bench.

Why does it seem that every MJ has the grill upside down?  I don't get it:dunce:

Is that the original BA10 in the bed? If it is, that's a plus that it is already removed.

If the seller insists you take it with the sale, ask for $500 off.

Regardless of interior color, it has buckets and the center console. According to Maveric, those seat tracks are MJ-specific, so a resto is definitely in order. Or I know Maveric will buy them and the console, if it gets parted out. And if SoCal decides he doesn't want the rollbar, Maveric has second right of refusal after SoCal.

XJs and MJs have different floor brackets but share sliders if they are the straight variety in the XJ (also came in curved and power).

He doesn’t want it. He showed me this MJ last month. His MJ is a long bed and this one here is a short.

Keeps the water from rotting the floor.

WIN!

It’s also like a cooled seat, but gross and uncomfortable.

Shortbed? I assume it won't fit a longbed without, *ahem* alteration? Joe's rig is a longbed.

Not particularly, the distance for the wheel well legs is shorter than the LWB sport bar. So you could alter it to fit a LWB by extending the legs to the wheel well.

That looks like a great truck for someone who wants to clean it up and keep it as an honest, well optioned, original truck.

I don't think this would work, the angle would have to be different to hit the LWB wheel well, unless you were to bolt it to the bed in front of the wheel well.

Never mind on the roll bar, then; Joe said it'd be too much work.

It really is more work than its worth.

You're probably right. Ive never seen an MJ sport bar in person of both styles so I don't know too much about the design differences.

Watching you guys talk about altering the SWB roll bar to fit a long bed makes me want to just take up this other guy on his $650-$700 LWB roll bar.   (Not really though.)

Checked this out today. Didnt take it home because he didnt have a title. So he said hed hold it for me till he gets a title so we will see how that goes. Also i didnt even notice it was a swb at first because the listing said lwb. Kinda disappointed about that but i guess i couod deal with it.
