Got a pic of your set up? Years ago my buddy and I tried brewing. Started with LME, tasted like @$$ and mainly because we are so spoiled with so many good beers in CO. Gave it up but hes been building a legit 3 tier all grain set up.

I've had a few of Bells beer. First was 2 hearted which was good, had oberon as well and official a few times. Good beers. I do like m43 from old nation. Had that a few times. Do you guys get spotted cow up there Pete?
87MJTIM
I have a MoreBeer three tier brew system. I can make 10 gallons at a time (that's about 4.5 cases of 12 oz. bottles). I don't have current pictures. I brew all grain, just like the big boys of beer. I started brewing in 93 when my wife bought me a home brew kit using liquid malt extract (LME). I have tried brewing many different styles through the years, from stouts/porter, IPAs, Belgians, German lagers. I like most styles of beer (except sours, fruit, and gose). I have been brewing lagers a lot recently: pilsners, bocks and double bocks. It is a fun hobby.

If you enjoy dill pickles you’ll like this. Odd combination but somehow they balanced the flavors perfectly. But a good ol’ Budweiser or any ice cold beer will do the trick. Cheers I was at Flying Dog earlier this month. The home brew club I belong to has a meeting there once a year. They're really nice people there and appreciate the home brew community. Most of the people there were/are home brewers.

Seriously, the one good spot by my house has a really good beer buyer to point it's almost overwhelming and I feel like I need a guide to walk my through the beer cooler. I try to try as many of them as I can. Occasionally find a really good one and others are just Meh. 2 hours ago, 87MJTIM said: I have a MoreBeer three tier brew system. Eagle
I used to like Löwenbräu back when it was brewed in Germany, before it was Americanized. Since then it has passed through a succession of owners and is now apparently being imported from Germany again, but it's too late for me. I'm not supposed to drink alcohol due to my cardiac condition so, on the rare occasions when I feel the urge for a beer, I drink O'Doul's dark. Smokeyyank
Tonight's selection is ninja vs unicorn from Pipeworks in Chi town. Solid double IPA with mounds of hops. 5 per barrel to be exact. Was talking to one of the guys they are going to get a new IPA next week over 13%! They'll be the only spot west of silverthorne to have it. So will try to pick that up.

87MJTIM
Stouts and Porter taste best when the temps are in the 50s F (10 C). The flavor of the grain and hops really comes through. At cellar temps, your mouth and taste buds are not frozen by 35 F (2 C) beer. However, not all beers should be consumed that warm. German lagers are great cold. mjeff87
My wife and I honeymooned in Ireland (many years ago). I was shocked to see that most (all?) of the pubs there did not have refrigerators. All the canned/bottled beers were kept on a shelf or in a cabinet, right around 50-55 degrees. Zambeezy
I'm also a fan of the Juicy Bits and tried Rails End Blood Orange Double IPA this weekend. Outstanding beer with a good about of hoppiness while still being very drinkable.
mjeff87
At the risk of being labeled a social outcast.....anyone here into N/A beers? I don't drink beer so much for the ABV (I only drink rums in mojitos and tequeilas in margaritas if I drink any hard liquor at all). I drink beer because I like the taste of BEER. Over the years I've tried several N/A beers, including all of the main stream favorites (O'douls, regular and dark), OMNA, Busch (yuk) and all the rest. One that I really like is Bucklers, a Belgium brew. If/when I can find it I always grab a 6-pack or two. Recently Heinekin came out with a true N/A beer....literally 0.0% alcohol, and I'll admit it's pretty tasty. It's been my go-to beer when the wife and I are out and she wants to drink, so I become the DD. It's not cheap though by any means, like $10/6 pack in either cans or bottles. And both of them are 11.2 oz.....they know what they are doing, lol.
Pete M
I have often wished that Oberon came N/A so I could drink it more often. I'm usually the driver with my friends so I might need to seek out one of those Buckler thingies so I'm not stuck drinking sugar water all the time. mjeff87
OMNA was one of the earliest entries into the NA market. It was cool before it was cool to drink them, and then came the others. Gotta give it up to the Europeans though, they know how to brew up a tasty beer. Buckler, Perlinger, Heinekin and some others make some good stuff. If anyone has a good beer/wine place nearby (we have Total Beer and Wines stores around here) or a well stocked supermarket, I'd suggest to try experimenting with some craft NA's. You might be able to buy single bottles to try for a couple bucks to see if you like them or not.
