rylee144 Posted February 19, 2021 Author Posted February 19, 2021 Got the flywheel removed as well as the pilot bearing. I removed the oil pan and will be replacing the rear main seal soon. I've been getting alot of help from members. I really appreciate it. I started other threads for help and wanted to get some photos in this thread.
rylee144 Posted March 4, 2021 Author Posted March 4, 2021 Haha going to try the buddy system this go around.
MiNi Beast Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 never thought it be easier to flip the jeep over to install drive train. nice
rylee144 Posted March 8, 2021 Author Posted March 8, 2021 Cross member stud is off. T case doesnt hit the tunnel so that's good
rylee144 Posted March 8, 2021 Author Posted March 8, 2021 I did. Heard you can modify the old one somehow but this was easier
rylee144 Posted March 9, 2021 Author Posted March 9, 2021 Got the old master cylinder out and the new one ran through. The hole is smaller on the push rod than the old so I need to get a drill bit to finish this part up.
rylee144 Posted March 19, 2021 Author Posted March 19, 2021 Ordered my drive shaft today. Axle is set just waiting on my welder buddy to swing by. Drive shaft is 2 weeks out
rylee144 Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 After installing the ax15 it no longer sits in the center of the tunnel hole. It shifts freely which is good. The issue is the plastic shift bezel doesnt fit. If the bezel is installed and the 4x4 shifter is in 2wd, all the way forward and I shift into 2nd or 4th the shifter stalk hits the bezel. Do I trim the bezel? Is there a different bezel? My ax15 is out of a wrangler and so is the shifter stalk. The stalk is shaped different than my ba10 was
jdog Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 Did you change our that plate, I Believe the shifters are the same
rylee144 Posted March 26, 2021 Author Posted March 26, 2021 I did not I used what came with it. Maybe a trip to the jy is in order.
watchamakalit Posted March 26, 2021 Posted March 26, 2021 Change the floor plate. I had to do the same. Did you change crossmembers and get the ax15 mount bracket? Edit: I went back and read a little bit.... floor plate is in order.
rylee144 Posted March 28, 2021 Author Posted March 28, 2021 Had a buddy come over with his welder. Got the axle perches welded on. Unfortunately burnt through and leaked oil all over. Got it all fixed up and painted.
rylee144 Posted April 1, 2021 Author Posted April 1, 2021 12 hours of Overtime today. 12 hour shifts and 2 kids under 3. Hurt the jeep time
