Bedrooms are small, garage is small and the driveway is on a huge hill. I have 2 kids and got snipped Thursday so no more kids here lol

Got my coolant swapped out today. Cleaned up some oil from all the blow by. Got a new air filter, the other needs alot of cleaning. It was soaked with oil. New parts list after tinkering:

Spark plugs

Cap and rotor

Wires

Battery

My battery is 5 years old. When I turn on anything in the cab I can see the voltage gauge drop. It runs at 10 most of the time.

Thinking on swapping the temperature plug on the block. Not sure the gauge is correct. Fan isnt kicking on since I went to the 195° thermostat.

It appears new coolant was very needed. I drove to the dump and now am waiting in line at idle, still at 210° and its 85 outside. Success!

Prolly not, just the 31s. If tires is what you mean. On the hunt for the caps now. Found a dude in the midwest that had 8 or so caps for 30 bucks but won't ship

won't ship caps!?  but that's about as easy as shipping gets!  go to post office, grab flat rate box, fill box, ship box.  done.

Got my plugs, wires, cap and rotor in. Plugs were over due it seems. Handy trick for retrieving and starting plugs is a little piece of tubing. Then I noticed this little rubber grommet crumbled on the value cover.

That rubber grommet crumbled inside the valve cover. I didnt want that chunk working it's way down so I pulled the cover and got a new gasket.

Building a truck on a budget sucks... the wife's budget lol. Another set back. Came out to a flat tire this morning on tires with 80% tred.  Bought them used last year so no warranty. One tire 250 bucks. Good looking tire tho haha

I wish I took a photo. A rock smashed between the treads and made a cut about 2 inches long. No idea where I would have picked that up at.

Not much of an update. Silly how long things take with kiddos and honey do lists. Had some member advice help with a tricky bolt. Finally got it off with the right tool. Started grinding on the 8.8. The welds on the inside will be tricky. Got the steering components off and ready for new end links.
