Factory Eliminator buckets that I am restoring. Fixed all the broken bits and pieces and they are super comfortable. The bolsters hug you and the seat bottoms when new, or near new, feel great! Highly recommend finding a set!

Stock  bench. It could be better, but I love having the option to carry a third person when needed. I envision one day re doing it in black leather with heated seat elements in it.

I can fit 3, 4, 5, 6+ passengers, but only one is sitting in the cab besides myself lol.  It's a pick up for a reason. :rotf:

XJ seats, basically the same as Eliminator seats (they even fold forward). I frikkin love these things.

Only seats I've had that were better were the leather ones in my AWD Talon, those things hugged in ways I never would imagine stock seats to do. Adjustable bolster top and bottom and adjustable lumbar. Would love to stick a set of those in anything I own.

Grand Wagoneer - Forget the year - in my '87 - Ultra comfy

Other than being power, those looks exactly the same as Eliminator and XJ seats (see mine above) so I'm guessing '80s Grand Wagoneer. The headrests I have are XJ only, otherwise the ones in the Eliminators are exactly like yours. Both my '88 and '91 Eliminators had grey ones identical to my XJ ones other than the headrests.

I've pretty much decided to swap in buckets to my truck so this thread definitely has my interest. What kind of modifications are needed to mate the ZJ seats to the MJ frame? (if someone has a writeup for this I apologize)

I have seats from a 2 door Cherokee Laredo just like this only with a solid matching cloth headrest. The reclining mechanism needs some work.  Otherwise the seats are as good as they look - and they look close to new.

As for GirsMJ86's description of Talon seats - I don't think the "fit and comfort" he was describing came from seats!!

These are the XJ 2 door seats out of a 94 or 95.  Had to do some modification to the mounts, but they work great.

Here you can see the first buckets I put in there compared to the ones I have now.  The one on the left has rocker rails and ended up being too tall...not to mention they were from a 4 door XJ, so they did not fold forward.  The one on the right is the present seat.

My dad has an 88 laredo he bought off the lot with those same seats with what your calling xj only headrests so i guess my question is did the dealership add the headrests to my dads seats?

If that is indeed the case, than that would be the first I've seen that. Like I said above, headrests were both the solid kind in an '88 and '91 Eliminator which pretty much covers the years. Maybe the ones with the holes were a Laredo thing. It's hard to say without documentation, I've only ever seen them in XJs though. The headrests are interchangeable though.

Found out some info dad said this was definitely stock headrests for 88 Laredo package because it wasn't the only one on the lot and I looked back at classified section all original 88 white Laredo that just sold on eBay about a week ago it also had the circle headrest must have been a Laredo thing

I picked a couple of those up at the junkyard for my XJ (it came stock with the circle type) just before handing the XJ over to my son.  He and his wife liked the fabric ones better so he put them in.  They matched the gray "tweed" seats just like in the above picture.  I was looking for a back seat with headrests but our previously well stocked junkyard only had ONE Jeep in it the last time I went.

Don,

I have exactly the same head rests on my truck.  IMHO, they look so much better than the vinyl or non solid headrests.  My truck came from the factory with a base interior and full bench seat.  So I salvaged all the interior parts from several different XJ's and a Comanche or two.

I think the same John. IIRC correctly I got them from an 88 XJ Laredo and were the only ones I had seen with the fabric. All the rest were with the goofy center hole or all vinyl.
